Hyacinth, I have been trying unsuccessfully to find a post of you that actually listed some fake serial numbers. Can you post a link? Thanking you in advance.

There's a full 3-part list that was posted about a year ago in the "Answers..." Thread. Posts 549,550 and 551:

There were a few numbers found after that list was published that were added in individual posts as they were found and verified. The main list isn't intended to be a complete list of every known number.

I'm trying to soak up all the amazing knowledge in here! I'm trying to learn all I can before jumping into the ebay/vintage Coach world.

Can you tell me if this listing is authentic? I am confused, because I read in the guide that items made for the Atlanta olympics have a 5 digit number. This one does not.

Thanks so much!

The Guide was written before that bag came to my notice. The all-number serial is unusual but Olympic items didn't seem to follow ANY rules. That bag was asked about before and it looks genuine to me.

Thanks so much. I had this printed so I could take when I go to second-hand stores but somehow lost it.

Thanks so much Hyacinth! I'd like to sit with you for about a week or so and learn the ways of Coach :)

Both look genuine.

Is this fake? . Someone gave it to my DD and there is no inside leather patch. :thinkin: I don't have any more Coach bags to compare it to. I've taken pics but let me know if I need more. Thanks so much!! The strap is pleather.....:p.

Item: 1995 Stewardess
Thrift store find for 8 dollars.
http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/cavyart/Stewardess/

everything seemed great until I got it home and really looked at the inside. It seems like the bottom inside is like a glued in piece of suede.(I assume to cover where the feet attach through the bottom leather.) Also the flaw on the underside of one of the strap grommets is a red flag to me. Sorry the picture of the patch is not that clear. So hard to get a focused picture of a patch that isn't on a pocket you can pull out. The number is G5B-9525. It says made in the United States within the paragraph.

I don't have one of these either but most top handle bags don't have a creed patch. That appears to be patent leather, not pleather. This is style #F47523, made for factory. It is authentic.

Was wondering if I could get the following two bags (circled in red) authenticated. I am just awaiting some more photos, hopefully larger, pictures from the seller but didn't know if they were identifiable by just the creed and style.

Any associated names or style numbers (maybes are nice too!) would be great. Thanks for any info.
