this looks strange to me because the front zipper pull looks odd because of the screw thingies.

Good point. There's at least one other 11622 listed under Completeds with the same small screws on the zipper pull turnlock

I don't know enough about recent styles to say if that's a problem or if the factory just used a different turnlock for a short time. Maybe one of our posters more experienced with newer bags can take a look.

The best description for this bag i've ever found is Hampton's Carryall. I have this bag in berry patchwork suede. I think mine was called berry patchwork Mosaic Hampton's Carryall. But all the bags I see that are this style are usually referred to as a hampton's carryall.

Sometimes you can't, and neither can I. It may come down to the placement of a stamping or a seam, and when there's no "reference" copy of a bag that's known to be genuine in the same style made in the same plant, month and year it's almost impossible to be 100 percent sure either way unless some other mistake points to "fake".

The best I can do with this one is "probably genuine", but I can't be 100 percent sure. There are 2 small differences between it and bags made at other plants that are slightly different so that's all I can do, sorry.

There are three others in Ebay's Completed listings and they all have the same linings and other details look identical. What I'm seing makes me pretty sure it's genuine.

It may be fake, or it may be that since the creed says it was made in the US that they didn't have the C lining available. I'm wondering more about why it would have been made in the US in early 2002 when several Chinese plants were already making that same bag in 2001. And I'm also wondering why the font for the serial number would be so drastically different from older bags made in the C plant in the 1990s.

Possibly fake, but there's not enough proof and the seller's photos are too poor to show any other details that could be compared. But personally, based on what I see, I wouldn't buy it.

All genuine. #1 is style 4208
2 is probably from the Greenwich line from the late 1990s.
3 - don't know the name, probably late 1980s
4- Club Satchel style 9885 from around 1990
5 - early Hippie style, I don't have a name or a number
