I know better !!!! But I bought this bag with a last second bid...

Received today and the creed tells me it's fake. I emailed the seller and she says she definitely purchased the bag at Nordstrom... so I'm posting here simply so you can confirm it's fake and I can have painless return.

It's definitely fake. The serial number is stamped as a single unit which Coach didn't start doing until much later, and the month code is invalid and never used by Coach. It also liiks like the grommets for the strap buckle holes aren't brass like the rest of the hardware. And is it my imagination or is the turnlock installed off-center? Try measuring from the turnlock to the edge of the bag and see if both sides are the same.

Thanks, Hyacinth - this is the second time I've purchased a fake Stewardess from a listing that didn't have a creed picture, and I can say that I've now learned my lesson.. I would also like to note that both fake stewardesses I've accidentally purchased have a leather piece covering the bottom of the inside of the bag - my real stewardesses do not have this.

Your eyes are good! There is a 1/4 inch more leather on the left side of the turnlock. Well, off it goes back to the seller. Thanks again!

I found this wallet at GCF, it looks "off" just wondering if you could help me figure out if its real or not.
















The stamp looks weird, and I have never seem coach use a zipper or lining like this...help is greatly appreciated

I'm not an expert on newer styles so you may want to wait for more opinions. But I'm concerned about the cheap-looking creed patch in this bag. Comparing it to others of style 14147 listed on Ebay, the patch in the one you're looking at seems thinner and also the serial number is smaller, much more lightly stamped and not centered correctly on the blank part of the patch. Here are two with EXACTLY the same plant and year code and yet the serial numbers look completely different.

(And BTW, zippers stamped YKK do NOT prove a Coach is genuine so don't even waste your time looking at them). Here's a photo of what that creed and serial number SHOULD look like

There also aren't any others in that color combo listed, which is unusual. I don't recommend buying that bag.

I have the same concerns with this one as with the other bag I looked at, especially if they're from the same seller. I'll post more once I look at the others but the creed on this one doesn't look right either.

EDITED TO ADD - Every single one of these listed on Ebay now has a creed and serial/style number with the F prefix indicating the bag was made for the Factory outlet stores. If this was an outlet-only style as the evidence seems to indicate then the serial number in yours in the formatting for the full-price stores isn't correct and the bag is fake. I'm going to advise against buying this one too, especially if as I said before, they're both from the same seller.
