Hi guys! Quick question -- I really want to do the right thing!

I posted a Coach key fob for sale earlier this morning, and soon after got a notice that the auction had been pulled. It's a key fob I bought on eBay a few years ago; it came as authentic Coach and I had no reason to doubt until now.

I just put a couple pictures here:

Is this a fake?? I would NEVER knowingly sell a forgery! I feel frustrated, confused, and a little naive. :nogood: I'd love any information.

Thank you for your help!

Sorry, it's fake. Coach never made that style. The shape of the Cs is also wrong, and the stamp on the back is much bigger than Coach stamps usually are, and the ends of the large C are much too rounded.

Coach is always careful to protect and use its trademarked logos, and a string of Cs all lined up in the same direction is NOT a registered Coach trademark - Coach would never have used it as a background. They would have used their traditional Signature C design.

Coach keychains are VERY highly faked, especially the metal ones, since the counterfeiters can make them out of cheap materials that contain lead, arsenic and other toxins and sell them wholesale for 2 bucks each. We STRONGLY recommend that Coach keychains be authenticated unless you're buying them from an extremely trusted seller recommended here by other members.

Thank you so much, Hyacinth!

I'll be more careful in the future. Your information & help are wonderful.

This is my first time buying Coach and I'm doing it off a Craigslist add. There's a scarf:

And a wristlet: http://cosprings.craigslist.org/clo/3253702227.html

I tried looking at the symmetry and such, but those prices seem too good to be true. Are they real?

Thank you so much!

I don't think there are enough photos of either one to authenticate. We'd need to see pictures of the fabric tags still on the scarf, and of the inside, front patch, strap clip and any inside tags in the wristlet.

My bag is very similar to yours. Here are some pictures. There is a sticker inside the pocket with the patent number for the magnetic snap. My zipper is either black or navy - I can't tell. A lot of older bags have navy zippers that don't match the bag color.
There is one on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/120992764799?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Whateve, thanks for the pictures you posted and for the reference to the Ebay item, which looks a lot like my bag, to include the lighter color of the stitching relative to the bag itself. The zipper in my bag looks navy. I'll have to look inside the pocket for the sticker.

So, real or real good fake? I'm asking about not only my bag, but the one on Ebay. Thanks for the input!

They both seem ok.

Thanks!

I have a belt bag- similar to the mini belt bag- but the style is different and it just has a 'COACH' stamp inside. It measures 5" x 5 1/4" and came attached to a Coach belt that was made in the US. I was hoping for an authentication and any info on it- thanks!

Found it - Horseshoe Belt Bag, style 4857 from around 1993. It's missing the thin shoulder strap. The belt shown wasn't included but it's probably the Basic Belt, style 8500 or a a similar style - I can't read the numbers on the back. Both pieces look completely genuine.
