I'm 99.999% sure it says "1941" and it's just an odd angle of the picture:

Other opinions are welcome. :smile1:

Oh yes, it does say "1941" but is the whole line "est. 1941" normally written on creeds? I was checking pictures of creeds and I couldn't find one that had the "est. 1941" line. Under the label COACH, it went directly to the "THIS IS A COACH BAG."

And do you know what model this is?

The link below is from the Ruby Lane site:-

Name: Coach Patricia's Legacy
Link: http://www.rubylane.com/item/342761-NH-MC637/Coach-Patricias-Legacy

Would appreciate it very much for the authentication of the above item. Thank you.

Very poor fake. The creed stamping isn't clear and sharp like it should be, the serial number is especially blurry, the way the zipper is set into the inside pocket is wrong and not how Coach does it, and most important, the style number in the serial number is for a completely different style of bag - 9988 belongs to a Saddle Bag like in Coach's photo below.

There are other problems too but those are the most important ones.

I agree with BeenBurned that it's genuine, even though the creed patch has a few unusual features. The patch isn't marked "P" but that was pretty much a Pilot Bag that was only in the full-price stores for a few weeks before being pulled and apparently discontinued. It was called a Heritage Stripe Flight Bag and originally listed for $228. I think the fabric was a coated canvas.

I owned one that I had to order through my FP store from Jax - I was looking for a long strap to use on my Scribble Stitch Pocket Flap and the Fuschia color on the Flight Bag was an almost perfect match and both ends were removeable, so I swapped straps and donated the Flight Bag with the Scribble's strap to my local charity. I still have the strap and the Scribble, and I'm 100 percent sure that Flight Bag is genuine. Coach's photo is below.

Item: ? Made in Italy bag
Seller: N/A (bought pre-owned)
Comments: Creed number is G8E-4185. Would love to know the name of it. Also, was this style of bag supposed to have a handtag? Thanks again!

It's a genuine Lexington Small Flap. And AFAIK, all Coaches had hangtags when they were new but a lot of them were removed or lost over the years, that doesn't mean anything.

Hi Ladies,
I already have this one, but would appreciate you confirming its authenticity and any other information you can give regarding name and approximate age. The dimensions are depth 3 inches, width 13.5 inches, height 9.5 inches and strap drop 13 to 18 inches. There is one pocket along the entire back wall of the bag. It is an open pocket with no zip. Thanks as always

It's an early version of a Hippie Flap Bag but I don't have any other information about it. Catalogs from the mid-1980s when it was probably made are pretty scarce. The Hippie Flaps and Zips were brought back some time around 1999 but this is definitely an earlier version. Maybe DemRam has more information.

Good morning Hyacinth :smile1: Thank you so much for your help and the attached images for additional information. Have a great week ahead :smile1:

Hi,

My mother bought this bag many years ago. It's a new (never used) Coach Backpack from the Sonoma Collection. Made in Italy. Still has original tags including price tag. MSRP from tag: $360.00.

When I do a Google search for the style number (4908), I get no results. I'd appreciate any help you can give authenticating this bag.

Stamped Serial No: E4E-4908

Material: Full-grain Cowhide (pebbled leather).

Color: Tan

Interior: Navy Blue striped lining

Compartments: The bag has two compartments - The large main compartment which has a small pocket with brass zipper and pull; and, the smaller outer compartment (on the right side of the bag) with a brass zipper and pull. The outer compartment also has navy blue striped lining.

Closure: Top flap with a cinch closure

Period: Tag indicates 1994

Dimensions (filled with paper stuffing):
14" H
14" W
~11" D

Thanks.
