Found this old gal last Friday at the Goodwill in Chelsea NYC for $19.99 plus tax. I cleaned her interior with a suede brush but decided to postone any rehab attempts until I’m sure she’s the real deal.

Item Name: Unknown. (mini briefcase?)
Dimensions: Approx. 13"L x 7"H x 2"W. Handle drop length is 4”
Comments: Black. No. 955-9424. Registration number glued on. Made in New York City, U.S.A. Double leather-covered handles. No exterior pockets. One leather open flap pocket inside. Suede (unlined) interior. Brass or brass-tone hardware. TALON zipper. Missing hang tag.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. Images follow.

Comments: I have a question into the seller, as the headline says "tan" but the photo is salmon colored.

I need to quit doing this! Older Coach is too addictive. And, it's bad for the credit card. I will have an opportunity to go to at least one vintage flea at the end of the week.

Genuine. Hamptons Leather Small Clip hobo, and Sonoma Full Flap, Natural Grain.

accidentally put this over in the I.D. thread and meant it for here. Just want to be sure it's real before I sell.

I think it's a pocket purse
Creed says 508-9842

and ect, and I also read to go through previous post to see if "my bag" had already been authenticated. I read on one post that if a bag says "Coach Bean Bag" and it isn't a "fat" looking little key chain that it is a fake. Now I've heard that there were actually a "collection" (perhaps not the right word) of bags that were indeed "bean bags."

Any information on this would be extrmeley apperciated. If this is not the place to ask this question, or if you would like for me to provide addtional information, please let me know. Thank you in advance.

No, there was never any collection of "Bean Bags". I don't know where you read that, but it's not true. If you have a bag that says it's a Bean Bag on the creed stamp we need to see photos, but it will always be fake.

Coach did that to a lot of styles in the late 80s and early 90s. I think it looks best on the City Bag-type styles, but remember they did an entire line of at least 40 Dakotas and Sheridans in Spectator style too.
Yeah, it works well on the bags with flaps. I have a navy and white city bag that I think is gorgeous. It reminds me of the spectator oxfords my mother made me wear in grammar school. I have a green and brown Sheridan too.

AFAIK, this is the only bean bag keychain that Coach made with a "bean bag" creed.

This is authentic:
