Please Number the bags.

#1. Companion Bag looks fine.

#2. Is NOT a Crescent bag. Crescent Bags have a seam down the middle of the flap. It's probably a Saddle Bag.

#3. Looks OK.

#4. Looks OK.

#5. Looks OK.

All genuine. The second one is a Saddle Bag, not a Crescent Bag. The Saddle Bag was officially introduced for Spring 1997 so a 1996 creed date is completely possible. Saddle Bags didn't have center seams on the flap and Crescent Bags did. The Crescent was style # 9235 and was discontinued some time around 1984. Any "Crescent" with a 9988 style number and a serial number beginning with a letter is actually a Saddle Bag.

Hope the link works -
What do you think of this one? I just bought a couple of beauties from salearea, and am hesitant about other sellers whom I don't know. :-)

It's genuine. Probably from the mid to late 1990s but it's hard to be sure.

Thank you! And thank you for the additional information :smile1:

BOTH of these bags are yardsale finds. The MFF cost $15 and the white one cost $1. I have faith that both are authentic however my boyfriend made the comment that the MFF looked fake. I thought it looked fine because I had another MFF that had the same stitching and fabric pattern (like looked like it was weaved)

Anyway...

I REALLY want the white bag to be real. Any idea what it is or what year it's from? I think it's so pretty and classic and timeless. I put some leather conditioner on it and it really brightened it up. It does have some scuffs on the back but I'm in the process of figuring out a way to make them not so noticeable. The conditioner I put on it made the bag feel a bit sticky so I'm letting it dry and I'm going to wipe it off with some plain water.

I really love this bag too. The inside was filthy but I think it got it mostly clean (it looked like she had makeup in there). It had a red stain on the front that I got out with some soapy water.

Comments: "A" factory code

There aren't any other obvoous problems, so it might be a mistake at the plant, an NYC-made sample or pilot bag made before Coach started to mark them, or an actual fake. I'd have to call it questionable since the plant code is onne that wouldn't normally have been used.

They both look ok. The white one's a Soho Leather Pocket Flap from 2005. I don't know the name of the fabric bag.

Comment: this screams to me fake...wanted confirmation before I report...thanks!

Fake, and a nasty sneaky seller too. Fake registration card, fake price tag with a bogus description that doesn't match the style number and was just stuck onto the hangtag chain - I'm not sure what a "VSG SATCHEL" is supposed to be but the number 9363 is for a Sig East-West Duffle. And if BX is the color code, that stands for "Bordeaux".

Report away!
