AUTHENTICATE This COACH

I have a question and this may not be the correct place BUT here goes...I bought a bag that is missing the hangtag and the seller said I can get a hangtag from Coach for free. Is this true? If it is true how do I go about that?

Call coach customer service at 888-262*-6224 and ask them for a replacement hangtag. Give them the name, style number, color of the bag, and color of the hardware.

They will send you a replacement hangtag for free. If they don't have a leather tag that matches your bag they will send a metal tag that is the same color as the hardware. The tag on the left in the picture below is one of their free replacement metal tags, and I think that they are very nice.

It can take 3 or 4 weeks for the tag to come, but it's free and you'll know that it's authentic!

It's impossible to be sure exactly what they're carrying.

I think the main size differences between the 2 bags you are questioning is the Width of the flat bottom and a slight difference in height.

I don't have Coach's measurements for either of the bags, but if the seller's measurements are correct for both bags in question, these are the differences I see:

4925 (Mini Backpack) - Measuring the Flat bottom - that one measures 7" wide x 5" deep. The bag is 10" High and has a Magnetic Snap closure on flap.

4911 (Small Backpack) - Measuring the Flat bottom - that one measures 10" wide x 6 " deep. The bag is 10.5" High and does NOT have a Magnetic Snap closure on flap.

The 1st bag pictured looks *maybe* like the size of the Mini Backpack, though it's hard to be sure from the angle.

The 2nd bag pictures looks like a Nubuc Backpack, (Sonoma bags were made in both pebbled leather AND Nubuc Suede) but I can't be sure which size it is.

Keep your tape measure at hand and measure it out. That way you won't be surprised at the size.

Maybe someone else has an idea.

^^^ re Sonoma Backpacks - They are extremely small. Remember the height is the total height (includes area above the cinch). They aren't something you stuff with Gym clothes, makeup and a water bottle.

thank you so much i think i will go for the orange color one. they are so adorable !!! hope i will not regret. i am looking for a nice leather handbag size backpack, so the size might (hopefully) will fit my liking, anyway, i am really appreciate your help, u guys are so friendly ~~!!

Hello Ladies!! I need some help...I won two of these bags one is a pink signature and the other is a black signature tote. The other two are Hamptons totes (as far as I know) and I want to be sure they are authentic as I want to sell them now. Can you verify authenticity on these 4 bags? I would very much like to know more about the pink bag....It just feels expensive somehow...I know that sounds weird.

Yes, I see what you're saying. It looks like the bag was originally dark brown and was re-dyed, and not very well.

I'd like more opinions, but judging from the other bags in that style on Ebay, the bag has been seriously altered from its original condition and that wasn't disclosed in the listing. The seller's description states that the "bag is clean inside and out" but if it looks and feels like leather dye or shoe polish it's obviously NOT. Contact the seller and tell her that a re-dyed or shoe-polished bag is NOT "clean inside and out" and that you want a full refund.

Note that yours doesn't have the off-white contrast stitching the bag is supposed to have either.

DON'T accept any offers of a partial refund, redyed bags can leave dye residue on your clothing and even run when the color gets wet.

FOLLOWUP: I contactd eBay to open a case. The seller told me she would refund the cost of the bag but not the return shipping. eBay is willing to give me free return shipping. The seller also said that the people on purseforum are just giving their opinion. She added that if she had know it was dyed she would have put it on eBay. But, I am getting a refund as soon as eBay sends me the label. Thank you so much ladies for helping me and letting me know that my gut feeling was correct. I should have done more research on the wristlet myself and realize that there was white stitching and not black with a brown creed inside. Keep up the good work,you are helping me and others deal with things like this. THANK YOU!!
