Possibly because once light-colored suede or leather gets dirty it can be really hard to clean.

I have a camel bag and the color does darken. It looks very similar to British tan.

I have a camel bag and the color does darken. It looks very similar to British tan.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I rather thought it had to darken since it's such a light color. I'm hoping it'll be the perfect around town summer bag!

I was considering buying another Rambler as a gift for someone and I saw this one below but I think it's not real because it looks funky. Asking to see if my sleuthing skills are improving or not.

Coach HAS used plastic zippers on some of their bags. As for the texture, I can't really give an opinion - just look for one with a more acceptable texture. Leather is a natural product and a lot of things can affect the texture. There are plenty of Ramblers Legacy bags that get listed on Ebay - this one is genuine. The leather may have dried out over the years.

I apologize for the tardy response. I did see your posts but didn't respond.

Although I don't see any obvious red flags, there isn't a photo of the creed to accurately assess the bag.

It does appear to be okay based on the pictures in the listing. If you're the winner and have questions, please post a photo of the creed when you receive the bag.

The wristlet is authentic.

The pattern is the optic signature pattern and due to the shape and nature of the design, it's one of the exceptions to the centering, matching, symmetrical "rule."
