Are there instructions or a link on how to photograph creeds posted on this site? When I have been a member for long enough & am permitted to start my own posts, I would like to have a bag authenicated. Thank you.
Creeds aren't difficult as much as they take a bit of practice. Use the macro function, indicated by a tulip or flower icon. To focus, holding the camera very still, press the shutter about 1/2 way down so you hear it focus but not enough to snap the picture. When clearly focused, snap the picture.

Experiment with different lighting conditions and with and without flash. Sometimes natural (daylight) light works better and other times, indoor overhead lights work well. In fact, with good overhead lighting, you might not even need a flash.

Regarding authentication, please don't start a new thread for authenticity questions. When posting a bag for authentication, go to whichever "authenticate this" brand your bag is and just post a reply with the appropriate format and required pics.

Ok so I came across this bag listed as a poppy bag but it's clearly the opa floral sophia. I went into the listing and looked at the creed and it says the style number is 99999. It also says it was a sample so is it a sample or fake? I'm confused.

I don't see any problems with the listing you've asked about.

Regarding the 99999 style number, there have been a number of posts here in the last couple of years. Here are a couple of them.

OK, thank you - I'll try posting it again. I guess I didn't post the link.

I bought this yesterday after a long day of shopping. Is she authentic? It doesn't have the same creed number as a similar one authenticated earlier so I'm a bit concerned. Thank you!

It looks good. It's an older "Broadway Satchel" and the serial numbers are simply random numbers. You won't find the same numbers on any of the pre-style number bags.

Your bag is *probably* from the mid to later 1980's...depending on when the Broadway Satchel was introduced.

The serial number under the creed didn't look uniform. So I was wondering if it is authentic. Thank you.

Wait for Hyacinth to comment on that creed. I only own 1 bag from 2002 and it was made in Costa Rica...so I have no U.S. made bags to begin any sort of comparison.

I can only say that the prefix and the style number stamped on the creed look ODD to say the least.

;)

Thank you, I am trying to learn about the older classic bags - I couldn't afford them back in the '80's & '90's

I can't say for certain that it's counterfeit but the problems with the creed would make me hit the Back button - not just the size of the month code but the fact that the J plant code is for a Chinese plant, not an American one.
