It's a "Slim Satchel Standard" and it's not from 1971! That number is a "random" serial number and does NOT tell the date of manufacture. It's probably from the later 1970's - mid 1980's.

Ask about the handles...they should be slightly rigid because they are padded. They can get really "mushy" on a well used bag and it's not pleasant to carry a bag with soggy handles if they lose their rigid form.

Thank you for the tip. I will check on the handles. I really appreciate the help with these bags. It has enabled me to start building a beautiful vintage collection :D

Again, someone like fluff221959 who's sold Coach products should be able to tell from 10 feet away that this is fake just as she should have done with the wallet, the cheap lining and serial number that has half the required digits missing are huge red flags. I'd advise NOT buying from her in the future.

I felt very sorry cause she told me she was disable, therefore I was kind of promising hiding the true and no negative feedback. And now I feel much worse cause this is not the first time she sold fake...........I am really upsad right now and don't know if I should believe her.

Hello,
I recently bought a couple of Coach bags at a local resale store assuming they were real because of the way they were priced. However I just found your forum and after reading some of the stuff on here, I have a feeling that I was much too naive in buying these bags. Can someone confirm what my gut is now telling me - that these are not real Coach bags?

#1. Authentic "Watson" from 1997.

#3. Appears to be an authentic "Court Bag" from 1996, though there should be a creed photo to be positive. It's definitely NOT 30 years old as described...more like 16 years.
