So I already bought this, albiet carelessly, I think I had it mixed up with another one I was watching because I remember thinking the creed photo looked fake in the photos and moved on... but I sniped (and won) the wrong auction ! :(

It arrived today and I was expecting a different stewardess..but received this one. Careless I know. So the creed is blurry, it's not just the photos. Also, the leather on the inside bottom is different than any of my other, genuine stewardesses. Can I have confirmation that it is fake so I may return it?

The grommets for the buckle holes are the wrong color, and the E plant code indicated Italy, not the US.

Since I don't own one to compare it to, maybe owners of genuine Stewardess bags from that time period can point out more red flags.

I've attached the close-up of the creed patch. I looked at another auction for a purple Hailey, and the word "Craftmanship" is NOT split in that creed patch.

And if a word is split there should be a hyphen between the two halves. The spacing of the creed words just looks wrong.

What's the style number supposed to be? I can't even read it.

Since I can't find another one with the same month and year code there's nothing to compare the creed to. All the others showing legible serial numbers seem to have been made 2 years later for Macy's. With the creed problems I can't recommend buying it though.

Comment: I see that this is pretty beat up and uneven in color, but am willing to take than on if the bag is legit.

It appears to have no creed or label, which may point to age, but maybe not.

It looks OK though I can't look at things posted by cell phones. Too small.

I have no idea what the patch is (are they band aids?) and I can't see the Coach mark.
