You're very unlikely to find any records of older styles on the internet, simply because widespread use of the'net dfidn't really start untl after many of these styles had been made and then retired.
Sig styles were pretty new and so were the plants making them. Things like stitching and creed formats were still being tweaked as neded and were constantly changing.
All hangtags had several double stitches at the top.
The creed spacing is one of the things that kept changing. Later creeds from the same plant actually had the word "handcrafted" divided between the first and second rows and hyphenated, which
Coach very seldom did unless the creed letters were just too crowded, like they were in this case. I HAVE seen early production bags with two words, sometimes more, very close together.
The Wayback Machine showing Coach's pages for December 9, 2001 show the bag as a Signature Lunch Tote, and the creed is consistent for the time and the plant. Based on other similar styles from that time I don't see anything that would make me doubt that it's real. The styles on Ebay showing serial numbers with "06" year codes are either Made For Factory styles or possibly a remake of the original that was briefly released to the full-price stores and then sent to the outlets.
