There was discussion about this wallet on ebay and I have to agree with the Coachies there that there are red flags.

I can't confirm it's fake but can't authenticate it either. The stitching and pleats seem off and the fact that there doesn't seem to be another of the identical style is another problem.

It certainly can't be listed for sale and if you're thinking of buying, I don't recommend it.

Authenticity question...

I gave my mother in law a Coach like the one in the link below:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-694619-679.html

Her creed reads F3Z-9136 and has a DIFFERENT font for the style number - just like the ebay listing! Is it ok?

Sorry!
This is the link for the above authenticity request:

And Thanks in Advance!
Disclaimer: This isn't an authentication: If authentic, your bag was made in a different month than the one you compare to in the listing. F=June and L=November.

But in order to authenticate YOUR bag, you need to post pictures of the actual bag.

It's impossible to authenticate without pictures.

Thanks so much...was just curious about the different font on the second part of the style number on the creed. Will take pics and post to find out for sure. Thanks again!

And here's another L6C- with some of the same questions as the white one - questionable, or just mistakes made at the plant?

Thank you Hyancinth, you are incredibly helpful! I don't know how you do it.

I won't post any scathing feedback on the seller's profile :) I am glad I asked for help here first. When I saw that seam/stitching in the strap I thought for sure it was a fake, so thanks for letting me know that it's inconclusive.

Please authenticate this Coach bag?
I bought it in 2006 at an area thrift store.
Is it a Soho Demi Zip #4104 from about 1998?
Any other info is appreciated (color maybe?).
Thanks in advance!

Item: 251048759401

Listing number:

Seller: np516 ( 21)

Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251048759401?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Comments: I bid on it before I thought to look up the serial number because it looked sturdy enough to be a coach...but, now that I've just won it (was hoping to be outbid), I can't find the serial number online to find out what bag style the serial number belongs to. I hope the link works. I can't find a link to original listing. If not authentic, I want to stop her before it is shipped out.
Thank you for your help.

Please don't EVER assume that because you can't find a bag's serial number on ther internet, the bag might be fake.

There are a dozen reasons why a serial number won't show up - for one thing this bag is 10 years old and older numbers often don't get mentioned anywhere online where they would be picked up by search engines like Google - NEVER use Google to help authenticate a Coach!

You may be reading the number wrong - I can't even read it myself and I probably have a lot more experience than you do. Or you're trying to search for the entire number which is usually a waste of time.

The bag is genuine although I don't know the name and don't have a record of it. There are much better ways of telling if a bag is real than by looking for the number on the internet.

Is this bag authentic?

comment: i did a lot of researches of this bag however i just couldn't find any photos or anything.. i won the bid already but i can still try to stop her, please help me. she claimed to have this bag for her birthday, so she doesnt have any receipt or anything else.

Hyacinth - Thank you for your expertise. It's good to know it is a Coach. I thought it looked well-made enough to be one. I was changing my mind about buying it because I found something I have been waiting for...But, too the pictures were not very revealing on her ad, so, with my lack of knowledge and only a partial picure, all I really had to go on was the serial. I had no clue it was 10 years old...what I can see of it looks to be in good shape. Will be nice to get it here and actually see the whole bag inside and out.
Thank you again for your help.

I just have it listed as a Soho Small Zip (?), no catalog information that I can find, sorry. The color is probably called Toffee, Coach introduced that color with nickel hardware for the Sohos in early 1998 but only used it for a short time. It was replaced by Camel for 1999.
