I'm glad I didn't respond to the authentication request before Hyacinth responded. She's spot on and said it beautifully.

Another possibility for the seller getting the items is buying the bags, stealing the charms and returning the bags to the store, sans charms.

There's no way this seller acquired all those individual charms honestly unless she's cheating someone.

I don't recommend Raceteam44.

There were some other questionable sellers (from FL) who sold dozens (or hundreds) of hangtags.

Raceteam44 might be samsoccer32, a seller who isn't currently selling hangtags but has sold many.
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=samsoccer32&ftab=FeedbackAsSeller

Another possible ebay ID for Raceteam44 is a recently naru'ed ebay seller, gordonfire24. Although the current location doesn't show as being in FL, in the past, he/she was located in Florida.

we have a lot of people that just steal them off the bags hung on the counter in macys too. i have to practically wire the hangtags on. people just take them and keep going. im sure thats probably how these resellers get them. its only the good ones they take too.

can you guys please authenticate this for me? thanks :)

Fake, I think you or someone else already asked about this either here or at Ebay - the price tag isn't original and there's no correct information on it, there's no valid style number (wasn't the photo of the price tag at the other thread showing a 14000 style number?), no color codes at all, and since whan is "handbag/Tote" a valid style name? There's no logo anywhere on the front of the bag, the creed has NO serial number and says Made in the US when Coach hasn't made bags here since about 2004, and the creed says it's TWILL fabric???

Where did you get this fake - please post the URL of wherever you bought it because you got ripped off. You need to file a SNAD claim or contact your credit card company to cancel any charge. This is a piece of junk.

it was off ebay and i just wanted to double check before i filed a SNAD because i intend to. i dont know what i was thinking when i bought it... maybe i drank something that night :p the person said it was a sample and i thought i had seen a bag like it before, but when i got it i pretty much knew it was fake.

here's the link.

Interesting. I wonder whether elizelise knowingly sold that fake. Her other completed listings appear to be okay and they don't refer to a sample sale.

Does this bag look familiar to anyone? It's another that she claims came from an exclusive sample sale:

The RK tote may be genuine, I think I've seen that style once before.

I'm wondering about the "sample" claim. The samples I've seen before will usually have creeds with -99999 style numbers, but they usually have some kind of serial number.

Unfortunately there's really no way to authenticate a sample, so buying something that's supposed to be one is always a gamble.

oxlivhopexo, there's a very small chance that your bag is real but there's no way to prove it either way. Did the seller ever send you a creed photo? And did she ever show any kind of proof that she bought it at a sample sale? Right now everything points to it being fake except the seller's claims, so I hope she has a way of backing them up.

(Wonder why they would make a bag with silver hardware and use a brass hangtag?)

ETA - what's interesting is that the supposed Reed K tote and the bronze bag have the same creed stamp.

the hangtag is silver as well it may just be the lighting. i emailed before i purchased, but it was only a little while before the listing was supposed to end. i got no response. i had asked for a picture of the creed. my only thing is now that the seller still lied in the desctiption. the bags is listed as NWOT. it however does have the tags on it per the pictures. it had to have been recently attached because the bag HAS been used. there's a damn bandaid (still in the packaging thank god) in one of the pockets along with lots of crumbs. there's also spots where the "metallic leather" is peeling off. definitely not NWOT!!! if you look at the RK listing as well the seller says they used to work for coach. do coach employees have access to buying samples like that if they are samples?

Coach employees can buy sample bags but I'm almost positive they can't re-sell them.

And it definitely sounds like it's been used. I think a SNAD claim is justified especially if the metallic surface is coming off.

Technically it's not meant as a hangtag, it's a charm that was included with a handbag. It's alsmost impossible to say if it's genuine or not, but where is the seller getting so many of them?
They're either conning Coach out of sending them free ones although I doubt if Coach would have so many replacements avaialble for these styles.
Or they're selling the bags under a different ID and cheating the buyers out of the charms and hangtags. Either way, Coach or their other buyers are getting cheated.

They're also listing what looks almost like the upcoming Tassel keychain but that's supposed to be a KEYCHAIN, not hanging from a ball chain, and which AFAIK aren't even available yet, and when they ARE available will probably be a lot more than 29 dollars. Or maybe they're taking them off Willis Bags they're selling. OR they could be finding another way to "acquire" them. If anyone spots any Bonz or Ebay seller with New Willis Bags listed and being sold with NO Tassel or Anniversary charm, I'd love to see a link to the listing or the seller.
http://www.bonanza.com/booths/raceteam44

It's also possible they're buying fakes in bulk.
Their ID is NARU at Ebay, no sales since 2007, so apparently they're using a new ID to buy or sell. They imported their Feedback from Ebay and had a Negative and a Neutral

Sorry, I don't see how any seller could get so many genuine charms and hangtags. I DON'T have a good feeling about those.

Thank you so much BeenBurned and Hyacinth! I will def stay away!..

Not necessarily looking to authenticate this one fully, as i have no intention to purchase - its pretty ugly imo - but wondering more for my own education. This doesn't look at all like something Coach would produce. Am I just a newbie and this really was released, or am I looking at a horrible fake?

Thank you! When they first came out with that monstrosity I had to check the calendar to see if it was April Fool's Day. That's on my list of the Top 5 Ugliest Bags Coach has ever made.

Unfortunately, it's probably genuine - 17144 Rhinestone Tote. I don't think even professional fakes makers wanted to be associated with something like that.

(My apologies to anyone who has one and loves it, but once in a while we authenticators have to be allowed to say what we think too! :D )

That seems like a strong possibility, it only takes a second or two to open those ball chains. That's one reason a lot of full-price deletes end up at the outlets with the hangtags and charms missing.

It ends pretty soon. If you have the time I appreciate it. :-)

Please let me know if these are real items.

Thank you!

LOL!! Agreed all the way around. Holy cow that's just not cute. I'll give that maybe its less horrid in person, but it definitely doesn't say "Coach Quality" to me. And I also apologize to anyone who has it and thinks its wonderful. It's just not my style. Then again, I'm not a huge fan of most signature bags either (or other brand name items that have their name across them, for that matter,) so take my opinion with a big grain of salt.

Thank you for the info!! I'm trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can.
