Does this look ok to you? I have been on the hunt for this look for awhile now. is it real and does it have a name?
Waiting anxiously!

It doesn't look ok to me. There are photos of at least two different bags in the listing, and the creed patch isn't even readable. Add in the fact that it's a new seller and I personally would give this one a pass, unless you want to contact the seller and ask for clear photos of the bag they're actually selling including the turnlock, hardware and creed patch.

I'm also wondering just how many pre-owned Elsa Peretti 18KTgold Heart necklaces she's actually sold. There are 2 different bidder/buyers shown in Completeds dated March 14 and 15, and Feedback dated March 16 from the March 14 buyer apparently. Something's a bit odd here.

A million thanks!!!!!!! I am new to this and am so grateful to have people like you who know what to look for!
I will not be bidding on this!!!!
Kim

PS. I just went back to look at the bag and could not believe my eyes when I saw the 2 different bags in the picture! Just shows I have alot to learn! I did message the seller to provide the pictures of what you mentioned so we will see iof they will.

If there's no creed patch and it's the same size as the other one, it's fake. Period.

Just FYI, Coach doesn't write style numbers on the outside of their boxes - they don't write ANYTHING on the outside -, and that's not a standard Coach box either. And didn't the wording "Women Coach Alligator Tote Handbag" sound a bit odd? That's how thousands of listings for Chinese fakes often start.

In addition, the inside zippers are different, even the zipper pull on the fake looks like cheap Mystery Metal. There's NO photo of the inside and no mention of the serial number, and with a bag that's supposed to be a Limited Edition they should at least have posted photos of the creed patch.

If it doesn't say Coach anywhere on or in the bag, it's a knockoff that they're passing off as a Coach. And technically if there's no Coach name or logo on the bag, it's not even counterfeit, it's just a scamming seller trying to rip someone off.

Contact them and demand a full refund including your shipping charges, and start a SNAD claim with Ebay at the same time. Mention to Ebay that you own the verified GENUINE version of the bag and you can send comparison photos showing where the differences are. Don't mention "counterfeit", just say the bag was sold to you as a genuine Coach but it's not.

And please, next time ask here first, and don't ever bid on anything without a clear creed photo.

Wow, that was fast....seller has already refunded me the money and said he will refund shipping costs once I ship the bag back.....he has also removed the other two white alligator bag listings as well. He noted he bought these years ago in Italy and had no idea that they were not authentic. Thanks again ladies. I promise not to jump the gun in the future without authenticating FIRST!

You're welcome. You may also want to keep an eye on that seller to make sure he doesn't re-list any of the bags.

Hi all ~

Is it possible to get some information on a vintage Coach style #9852 (I'm not sure if this is the correct thread to ask about this or not). I saw one once, and it looked sort of like a Patricia, but with a toggle closure at the bottom of the front flap. I was wondering what information you experts might have on this style, as in original dimensions, pockets, years made, colors it came in, etc. I remember it seemed like a nice bag but the color I saw wasn't what I liked, but since then I keep thinking about it and if I knew the style name I could search for it but I have no idea the name, dimensions, etc.

Thanks!

HI>>I was looking for a Coach medallion fob for one of my legacy purses and I ran into this item on ebid. I got it today, however it is does not look like a legacy medallion. It is bigger in diameter and also both sides are identical, whereas the legacy fob is plain on the back with just the word Coach embossed on it. I logged in to the site to ask the seller about authenticity and to my surprise she is not there anymore. I tried to email her through paypal account and her email is not valid as well>>>Will you please let me know if this medallion is fake or authentic and if it is not, will I be able to open a dispute ? It seems she is nowhere.
Thanks a lot

Since you're able to find the listing through an advanced search, please find the pictures and upload the listing/pictures. Another option is to take your own pictures and post them, either by uploading or posting on Photobucket.

We need to see the item.

ETA: Here's the listing: http://us.ebid.net/for-sale/super-cute-coach-fob-cell-key-chain-charm-handbag-tag-34056349.htm

I am not sure about the charm in question as I don't have one to compare it to.

But this item she sold is fake: http://us.ebid.net/perl/auction.cgi?auction=27809458&mo=auction

The other two items she sold and for which she got feedback aren't viewable.

http://us.ebid.net/perl/normal.cgi?user=906309&mo=user-rating&type=feed

She also sells on ebay as mafanpaca - http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=mafanpaca&ftab=AllFeedback

And on ioffer as girlwork: http://www.ioffer.com/selling/girlwork

The charm is FAKE. Do NOT buy from any of the above seller IDs! And contact EBid about their procedure for filing a claim against a seller. If they can't help, contact your credit card company or Paypal, whichever method you used to pay.

The antique-ing is wrong, the font is wrong, the spaces between words and numbers are wrong or there are no spaces at all, and the ball chain is also much too dark. Here's a real one:

Assuming the bag you saw was genuine, the number belongs to a Ranch Bag. It's about an inch or two shorter and narrower each way than a Patricia's Legacy, and the strap is also about 9 inches shorter. It was only made for a year or two right around 1990 and is probably going to be hard to find. Here's a photo:

Thanks so much Hyacinth, yes, that's what the bag looks like! I'm bummed to hear it was only short time thing, seems like a great bag. Is there any way to post the complete dimensions and colors it was made in on it? Sometimes knowing those helps in searching online, thanks again! Fingers crossed.

Another oldie but (hopefully) goodie:

Item: Vintage New York City USA COACH Burgundy SLIM SATCHEL COMPACT CLUTCH purse 9425
Listing number: 190604053795
Seller: kristenwestlake

Comments: Is this bag actually burgundy red? Or will it be a reddish brown? I'm looking for a true dark burgundy red purse. Also, any information in regards to this style -- like name, year this bag was made -- would be wonderful. Thanks!!
