Today I got my eBay order of this Coach Ashley Large Black Leather Satchel(15447). I was so disappointed that it is such a wired double faced one-- the leather on the front and the back is not of the same quality. The leather used for the back of this bag is kind of “pebbled” leather, while the leather on the front is smooth as it should be. The different is so obvious and will be noticed immediately. The pictures posted on the website did not show this problem well. There is also another problem that the end of the zipper was poorly made which does not look like a coach product. Could anybody help to authenticate it?

Wow, the differences in the texture of the leather would bother me too. Please see post #1 for the format we like request to be posted. It's helpful in seeing the actual listing, the seller's ID and the seller's history.

Please post the additional information as well as a clear picture of the creed and the rest of the bag.

Thank you very much for your quick response, sorry for the big pictures.
Here are two more pictures on the sellers ebay listing. The seller has 100% positive feedback of over 2000 points. I am in contact with him/her, so I would rather not post their weblink now.

The different is not so obvious on their pictures, but it's so obvious in real life. When I opened the box, and noticed that immediately, and thought, OMG, how lucky, I got a fake on my first eBay order.

Comments: Serial is e4n9927. Seller has high feedback. I'm just a little weirded out by the creed stamp. I don't know if it's just bad photography, but it seems low down (don't see the zipper in the frame) and isn't the stamp on smooth leather? The leather in the creed photo looks weird. I asked the seller for a closer photo of the creed but she hasn't gotten back to me.

You'rer correct on all counts. Not just is it low on the pocket, but the plant code doesn't agree with the year code, AFAIK that plant didn't come online until at least several years later, and thr Coach logo at the top doesn't feel right.

Did you buy this already? There's no solid proof that the creed isn't right but I definitely would not bid on it. And high Feedback doesn't mean that a seller would recognise a questionable serial number - it's a very specialized study.

Thanks again, I know I'm totally flooding this thread so I appreciate your time and careful consideration.

I did already purchase it since it was a Buy It Now but the more I sat on it, the more I got weirded out. I just e-mailed her asking her if we can cancel the transaction mutually, hopefully it works out. Because even if she refuses and sends me the bag, once I receive it I can always raise a dispute with ebay over the authenticity of the bag, right? Anyways I told her let's avoid the whole process and hassle with shipping back and forth and just cancel it.
