Comments: to me the font looks fine but does the creed stamp itself look odd? The serial number font is so clear and though the font on the creed looks fine, its so "worn" compared to the serial number. This strap also has silver grommets. I'm pretty certain I've had some other "M"s in serial numbers authenticated that were also made in the United States, so not sure if that is a concern. Also, is the shape of the inside pocket okay?

1- There are just too many small details there that aren't quite right - no way would I ever be able to say it was authentic, just VERY questionable. I don't like the way the creed is stamped either.

2- Not really sure about that one, the bottom edge of the creed stamp is really wobbly. It might be because Coach knew they'd be switching to new creed stamps soon and didn't want to throw away one that was still useable, but that's just a guess. Maybe OK.

That's the standard tag when you buy from JAX or from most Coach outlets. A few outlets use the standard square folded tag - I'm not sure what tag most of them are currently using. This style is several years old and the tag is fine.

BTW, remember, tags on keychains can be changed, just like hangtags on purses. A keychain price tag by itself doesn't prove anything.

Thank you Hyacinth! The first one really was iffy to me too so I am glad to have you confirm my "fears". I won't chance the second one either though and will return.

They do fake shoes but I'm not sure about these. Although I'm not familiar with the style, they don't have any red flags.

A picture of the size and style information that's stamped on the underside of the tongue is needed to authenticate.

Item: Small coach portfolio case, made in NYC, circa 1980?

Dimensions: 9.5” tall, 13.25” wide, 3” deep
Comments: I will post additional photos in the next message, please authenticate. It is made in NYC and has the glued-in serial number, does that help to narrow down the date of manufacture? Thanks for you help!
