Comments: I am probably not going to learn my lesson about having things authenticated BEFORE I buy them until I get burned one of these times. I bought the chalk/navy Laura tote just a couple weeks ago (ebay) and had it authenticated here, but I decided after carrying it that I'd rather have the Laura carryall in the same color, so bought this one (incidentally not 'mint' condition as described). The tote feels very subtly like it's better quality. Comparing them side-by-side I noticed these differences with the carryall: the creed patch isn't embossed as deeply, there are bigger spaces between the serial numbers, the interior leather zipper pull is only about 1/2 as thick, the interior magnetic snaps are bigger and say ROMAG USA PAT. with a number, the chain on the hangtag is half again as long, and finally the impressed COACH EST 1941 on the silver button on the front of the bag isn't quite as cleanly stamped (the deepest part of the letters is a little wavery), though this last thing took me a minute to pick up on what the actual difference was. SN of the carryall is C1082-F14866. At first I was just going to chalk it up to maybe plant/date differences, but figured might as well get her checked out. THANK YOU!! PS - the PVC fabric care card that came with this bag, I don't think goes with it either (isn't that for their coated canvas?)

The bag in the listing looks fine.

I tend to think the differences are just as you suspect and due to plant variations. Some of the differences are probably related to the fact that you're comparing two different styles of bags. That's comparing apples to oranges.

Thanks again BeenBurned! I thought since they were both Lauras that I was at least comparing yellow delicious apples against granny smiths...glad to have learned something new again! Happy holidays!
