Authentic? It looks good to me, but my only concern was that I found that a different item from this seller, a coach key chain FOB with brass hang tag, was deemed probably fake on another site that I can't seem to link to from here. When I try to include it, it just shows up as asterisks.

People fake key fobs as well!? I thought they'd be so small that it would be insignificant profit to fake them, but now I'm worried because I just bought 5 from different sellers for stocking stuffers! Is this where I would get those authenticated as well? Thanks for the heads up!

Sorry for the alarm.

I hope that I can get the handbag I posted about authenticated because the auction is up today.

thanks again! :)
Comments:
I will never understand why sellers who own cameras and know how to use them will use pictures that are "borrowed" from other sources. Grr!

The pictures in the photobucket album look fine and should be in the listing and not only available to those who request them.

Yaaay!! Thanks.. ;)

And i agree.. Seller should post all relevant pics in the post.. And just not by request.. !!

Wait for other opinions on the listing you're asking about. The prefix in the serial number is known to have shown up on "good" vintage fakes so an expert needs to look at it.

As for the other non-authentication you found, the keychain (leather part) is definitely fake and this seller is (IMO) sneaky. She mixes fakes in with her authentic items, and in the case of the keychain, she attached a possibly authentic hangtag to the fake fob.

Fake: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180658242912&ssPageNam e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I don't recommend martys2403.

Thanks so much. I will most definitely wait, although your post sort of turns me off to the seller in general.

Please tell me if these are genuine. Seller had 4 "kate spades" for sale-- total fakes. Admitted that she didn't know for sure, so she didn't state that they were real. (Like that makes it okay!)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-Coach-h...709?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item1c21f653bd and http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-handb...641?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item1c21f5e231.
Seller karenandrobert:

Fake: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-Coach-h...709?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item1c21f653bd

The other Coach bag might be authentic but a seller who sells multiple fakes isn't one that I would do business with. Do not buy from karenandrobert.

Yes, sadly, there are tons of fake Coach keychains. Most a poorly copied, but there are some that are fairly close to authentic versions. Worse than the fact that they're fake and poorly made is that they're probably made with lead and other toxins and when you handle them (or if babies play with them), you're exposed to absorbing the toxins into your skin.

Please post the listings here to verify whether you got the real deal and if not, we can advise you.

ETA: a1i50n, since you use the same ID on ebay, I was able to see your recent purchases and the 4 fobs I saw in your bidding history are all authentic.

The Legacy Zip Bag in the listing seems ok, but I don't own a real one to compare it to.

Hyacinth, I have my British tan one in my hands right now that you had posted yesterday that you thought was fine. Is there something I should look at to compare? One thing I notice about this black one listed, which might just be a function of the lighting or the different color of the bag, is that the rectangle around the creed seems more pronounced, as the the outline around the word "Coach" above it. I don't know if that's relevant.

Also, regarding the possible problem with the "JH8" that BeenBurned mentioned: I found the following in an eBay guide: "K3H-, J8H-, and M4B- prefixes are possible counterfeits, especially if the font of the digits of the serial number seems slightly different. Please have them looked at by an expert - NOT a Coach store employee, many of whom may be Coach lovers but who have no training in recognising fakes, especially older ones."

The digits in the last photo look the same to me as the one that I have, but I don't know that I would be able to tell a slight difference.

She (or he) does have excellent fb, but she did sell that fake key fob. The bag looks to be in excellent condition, so I am torn.

Hello - I haven't heard anything back yet. I just wanted to make sure my post didn't get lost in the shuffle. :)

Agreed.

Wow, I didn't even know you could do that, but wonder why it only showed you 4 instead of all 5 (crystal & pink skulls, leather & valet life preservers, & level)! Thanks for checking on them, I really, REALLY appreciate it and am happy to know the two I'm stuffing stockings with won't end up as an embarrassment...or poisons! Thank you again & happy holidays!
