I have a small Coach purse that I bought at maybe Marshall's (not sure) back in the mid 90-s. I wore it a lot for a while and the strap is in bad condition now, long separated and torn near the buckle, fixed w/ tape... :shame: I haven't touched it in 10 years at least. It is black, it says it has lizard trim and made in Turkey. The leather is very soft. Can anyone identify it or tell whether it's authentic? I have wondered for years!

If the style number is 8155 it's a Slim Leather Demi Zip from 2001

If you bought it at Marshall's then it's authentic

That's not always true.

This particular bag is ok, but Marshall's and TJ Maxx are notorious for accepting fakes for return without checking for authenticity as long as the "buyer" has some kind of receipt and then putting the fakes in stock. Never assume all their name brands are genuine.

Comments: I've asked the seller to post a photo of the creed that doesn't crop out the number at the bottom, but that was only within the last hour.

Are these genuine, and are they reasonable prices? Any feedback is much appreciated!

Interesting. I have to agree with Hyacinth regarding not recommending a seller who steals pictures from other sources.

Renee1victor3 has been discussed before, having listed a fake: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-577470-1059.html#post19153946

And evidently, the same seller has another ID, upperclassluxury who uses the same mix of photos from different sources. This is upperclassluxury's listing for a Willis bag using the same pictures:

Yep, and she's experienced enough playing Photo Merry-Go-Round to be sure that she hides the serial numbers when she combines photos of different bags from different sources.

Both upperclassluxury and Renee1victor3 go right onto my "special" list. NOT Recommended.

item: New York City Coach Stewardess Plum Burgundy Leather Bag
item link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VTG-70s-NYC...H_Handbags&hash=item45ff54397e#ht_5601wt_1024
seller: modpropshop
comments: I'm wondering whether this plum burgundy is an original color for the stewardess bag, since i've not seen it before, or whether it's 'dyed'. also whether you think it is authentic, since it's hard to see the creed. thanks so much
