Comments: So this is fake, correct? Sometimes I see a hideous bag and assume that it’s fake only to discover that it is an authentic, expensive bag! I realize that everybody has their own tastes and style but I really think that this time I’ve found an actual fake.

As fake as a 3-dollar bill, please report.

Coach actually did a Fringe Bag (in different colors) but any time you see that shiny mini-C lining and a Patchwork where the front is patches and the back is a Sig C pattern, it's fake.

The other 2 Coaches from crook onryannie are fake too, please report those.

"New" means different things to different people. This one is a 1996 bag that may be barely-used or unused. It looks genuine to me.

As i've said before, it may be great to find an older bag that's never been used, but sometimes those bags can also have storage issues. ALWAYS ask for more photos, how the bag has been stored, and if the bag has any problems, especially any smells. Older bags can get musty or even mildewed if they haven't been stored properly, and the leather has already gone 15 years without conditioning. Areas with high humidities or excess heat and dryness can create problems with stored bags.

That's another one that I'm wondering about, and for the same reason as the post right after yours. A bag with an E plant code should NOT have been made in the US.

Also, comparing it to mine from 1996, the top edge of the underflap pocket isn't finished correctly (there should be a separate strip of leather sewn to it as an edging, just like on the edge of the main pocket that's right above it). There's also a big gap at the closed end of the zipper but that end should be snug up against the side of the bag - there isn't any gap on mine at all. The way the logo is stamped on the creed doesn't look quite right either.

Do you own this bag, or is a current auction listing? Please check post #1 in this thread about the format we require for authentications, thanks!

It looks like a genuine Plaza Bag Large from around 1990.

BTW, some of the same people post and read at Ebay too - you may want to post only in one place at a time.

Hey Peeps,

So this is the deal, I bought two Patricia's recently, I got them authenticated here first, (I learned my lesson, and you guys are always so helpful, thank you for that) I just got my red one, and they look very different. I have a feeling one of them is fake...for some reason, the strap feels sorta gummy on the brown one. I just want to double check, so that if one of them is fake, I can claim it at Ebay since it has been less than 45 days. Thanks as always for your help!!! I paid 40 for the brown, and 200 for the red (steep, but if its real, totally worth it!)

The first thing I noticed is that the strap on the red is a lot shorter, also the shape of the brown seems more boxy. The brown creed is: N(little O symbol that I have no clue how to make...sigh) then -KOD-9951. The red creed: N(again little o) A3Z-9951. The red says made in Dominican Republic and the brown says made in the US.

I attached pics so you can get a better look. Thanks again! I can take more pics if you need them.
