It's fine. The difference in the creed is because they're made in different months.

The first letter of the prefix (in post-1994 bags) indicates the month it was made. A=January, B=Feb, etc. (Skip "I" because it's too easily confused with "1") and M=December.

Welcome to tPF!

It looks ok, probably a Compact Pouch made some time between the mid-1970s to the late 1980s.

Bags made before 1994 with all-number serial numbers should never have exactly the same number as another bag. Back then each one had its own unique number.

The bag in the listing appears to be okay but the seller should NOT be using Coach's copyrighted pictures in all her listings. Not only is the use of someone else's work illegal, there's no reason for someone who owns a camera to not use all her own pictures.

The bag that was made in Vietnam looks okay too, though that also uses stolen stock pics as well as the seller's own.

Good point. I agree....I was also hoping to have gotten a photo by this afternoon but nope. Hubby said to go ahead and get it . We can worry about it later if it is a fake. But I didn't want to deal with that. So we went to the outlets this morning and I got an Ashley Leather Satchel. I absolutley love it!!!! Got a ponytail scarf and key fob for it too. :D

Comments: they say it is "new", but the creed makes it sound like one of the older bags 1996? I know they have reissued these bags, but i don't know what those creeds look like. i'd like to buy one of the older bags if possible. so is this authentic? i'm hoping this is my last request, this is turning into an addiction!!!! who knew! thanks

The bag looks authentic and from 1996. I'm not sure if that particular style was re-issued. Maybe so.

There is really no way to "prove" that it's NEW unless they can prove it was never used and they have the original tags, etc.

However, the bag in the auction looks correct.
