Hi ladies,

I purchased black and red Julia Zippy wallets from an Ebay seller. They look ok to me, but I wanted to get an expert opinion. I'll just include a link for one of the auctions and photos of what I received since they look alike, except for color.

Comments: What concerned me at the time is that 1) the seller used stock photos 2) The shipping info stated that the items were being shipped from outside of the US (though the Item location noted Georgia). According to the packaging, they did ship from GA and were received in 2 business days, so they were not shipped from overseas.

Please wait for other opinions on this seller. I can tell you that had you come here before bidding, we wouldn't have recommended doing business with 229kentina2002.

There are many red flags:

1. Seller has large number of identical items.
2. Seller uses no actual pictures of the items
3. Selling prices are too low for seller to have possibly been able to get that many at such low prices and to afford to sell at those prices
4. Recent neg alleging a fake Dooney and another neg alleging that item sent wasn't same as item described.

Regarding your pictures, I have a few comments but because I haven't seen that actual style, I'm not sure whether my comments may be valid. I hope someone who has the wallet might have input.

1. The font on the top half of the inside of the tag doesn't look correct
2. The text on the back of the tag (following pic) is something I've never seen. Has anyone else seen this?

An item that is still currently on Coach's website isn't going to be discounted and selling at the quantities that this seller has.

Hi BB,

Thanks for your response! I haven't seen that unusual back of tag either. The purchases I made at recent PCEs still have the H&C/lozenge logo on both outsides of the tag.

I had reviewed their feedback prior to bidding and there was only one negative (the NAD feedback), but do realize that sometimes there is one negative in the bunch. I see the one that you reference that was added today and that would have triggered concern for me.

I was also wondering how they could possibly have that many of these and sell them at such a low price (fell off the truck???) I've been obsessed with Zippies lately and realized after my bids that I was confusing them with other Zippies that I've seen at the factory store.

Maybe I will stop by the Coach boutique this weekend and compare the tags/fonts...

Anyway, I am definitely concerned, but will wait for other opinions, as you recommend.
