Comments: She doesn't volunteer Creed Patch Photo, or Style number. I can't find any other images like this online, and it just looks cheaply made.
Yuck! It's fake and if there's a way to report fakes on that site, please do so.

Thank you for authenticating! I gave her the option to return for buyers remorse and drop the SNAD but I think that suggestion made her even more upset. I wish I would have found The Purse Forum before I posted my listing! I love this place!
You're welcome. I'm sorry you got a buyer who doesn't recognize authentic Coach. (Funny thing is that she has purchased other Coach items with fewer definitive pictures. Your pictures showed her exactly what she would have needed to see to know they're authentic.)

If it's any consolation, you can post her ID on the BBL thread as someone who sellers should block after leaving negative feedback alleging fakes for authentic items. http://forum.purseblog.com/ebay-forum/e-bay-non-paying-bidder-list-165307.html

I would like to have the buyer come here so we can help her with her doubts. Have you sent her a link to the authentication?

Hi, Really? when I searched that number only 1 came up! Am I doing it wrong? But thanks!! I appreciated it!

Oh! My search was limited by something I checked! Never mind!! Thanks so much!
I checked "title and description" for the style number (without the "F")

The later Skinny Flight Bag #9706 had shorter double straps but a removeable extra-long shoulder/crossbody strap and the same measurements as your bag.

If I knew of any research source, it would already have been checked. The only thing you can do is keep an eye on Ebay listings for vintage bags for the one in ten million chance that someone selling one has the name, style number and original paperwork. There's no organized information I've found that covers older styles, unfortunately.

If you like to check out local garage sales, you might ask anyone selling old Coaches if they happen to have any old catalogs too. I've tried but never found any, but who knows? Maybe someone here will get lucky. :smile1:
Thank you Hyacinth. I will keep sleuthing on Ebay and also local garage sales. I guess its the mystery that is a huge part of the intrigue with these older styles ... so, The mystery continues! If I find anything on this bag or any others (in the future) that are a mystery to identify I will let you know! ;)
Thanks for all of your help in this passion for older Coach bags!

That particular bag looks ok. But ALWAYS have bags from seller le_franco_ricain authenticated, they don't use an experienced authenticator and have been known to sell fakes.

And unfortunately because of the way this forum's software is set up, because of the underscores in the seller's name it doesn't show up when you search tPF. But their name has been mentioned several times here because of fake bags they've sold.

Will do. Thanks, Hyacinth!

Features look right.. but
1. the Creed is hard to read.. so I'd like a second opinion..
2. also, the binding on bottom overlaps and ends on a side seam (I've noticed on my other duffles the binding ends and overlaps center between the side seams)

Thank you.

I've never had or examined a Duffle Sac so I can't say how or even IF the bindings and side seam are supposed to be aligned, But other Coaches don't seem to follow any similar "rules." Maybe someone familiar with the style can add something?

I AM concerned about the "puffy" and hard to read creed stamping, and also the "S" plant code since it seems too early for that code to be used, and it was only used AFAIK in a very early Chinese plant in 1996, and later in the same plant once Coach openly moved production to China around 2000. I'm not sure it's fake but I'd call it questionable.
