1- Sorry, can't find that one
2 & 3 - genuine
4- it's genuine - Sonoma Sling

Thank you Hyacinth :)

I've never seen the first bag either. To my eyes and everything I have learned it looks authentic. Do you agree or do you have any suspicions that it might not be? It even had the small Coach pouch on the inside pocket with a 2 x 3" black and white mini catalog and "how to care for your Coach bag" tips from 1982 :) Of course this particular bag is not listed in the mini catalog.
Thank you again Hyacinth .. this one remains a mystery but it's a really neat and well maintained bag! :)

I'm sure it's authentic, it's just not in the catalogs from the early 1980s that I own. It looks a lot like the Skinny Flight Bag but the straps are too long, however it may have been an earlier version that was only made for a short time. The later Skinny Flight Bag #9706 had shorter double straps but a removeable extra-long shoulder/crossbody strap and the same measurements as your bag.

Hyacinth, thank you. This is pretty exciting. Yes, no place for the removeable extra-long straps that you mention on this bag. I just love these vintage finds in Coach history. I just did a search for the skinny flight bag and model 9706 on the web and can't find a thing. It would be wonderful if it is a version of that bag made for just a short time.
If you have any ideas of where I might ask further about this bag ID, I'd be happy to do any research that you'd suggest and then share it with you for your catalog too.
Thank you!!!

If I knew of any research source, it would already have been checked. The only thing you can do is keep an eye on Ebay listings for vintage bags for the one in ten million chance that someone selling one has the name, style number and original paperwork. There's no organized information I've found that covers older styles, unfortunately.

If you like to check out local garage sales, you might ask anyone selling old Coaches if they happen to have any old catalogs too. I've tried but never found any, but who knows? Maybe someone here will get lucky. :smile1:

Item: East West Duffel 9363 & Signature Demi 6094
Listing number: 260872994088
Seller: Me! -> mandahugandkiss

Comments: Buyer claimed SNAD now I have 1 neg feedback  My DH bought me the 6094 in 2002. I doubt he knew where to find a fake BUT...he didn't give it to me in a Coach box. I bought 9363 from a reputable upscale consignment boutique in River Oaks area of Houston....but anything is possible right? I will feel like a complete idiot if either of these are fake. Buyer tore me a new one claiming everything on both bags are fake, fake, fake. I am now doubting all I've ever known about authenticity of Coach. Help please? I haven't received the bags back so I have no other pictures than the ebay listing ones. Hopefully I do receive the bags back and not a box of rocks. Thanks so much!

FTLOG! I'm sorry that your buyer didn't do her homework before accusing you of selling a fake.

Your buyer, hannah*michelle has made a terrible mistake. Both bags are absolutely authentic.

If she called Coach, it's very possible that they gave her misinformation; they're notorious for doing that.

The following are Coach's pictures of the styles and although the colors may vary, there's no problem with the bags you sold and if your buyer has questions, she's welcome to come here and tell us why she's concerned.

(My personal opinion is that she didn't look carefully enough at the pictures and didn't realize how soiled they are, but the pictures clearly show the soiling.) I just went back and reread the listing and I'm further certain that this is buyer's remorse.

Because you fully disclosed that they were dirty, you stated that there are no returns for being dirty; only if they're not authentic. So that's her "excuse" for returning.

You need to direct your buyer to this thread and also let her know the bags are older and would not be on the website.

Ask for feedback revision after you show her the thread.

If you think it would work better, also post on the eBay Shoes Board.

She got 2 great authentic bags at a great price and could probably rehab them.

Seller: le_franco_ricain

Thanks!

That particular bag looks ok. But ALWAYS have bags from seller le_franco_ricain authenticated, they don't use an experienced authenticator and have been known to sell fakes.

And unfortunately because of the way this forum's software is set up, because of the underscores in the seller's name it doesn't show up when you search tPF. But their name has been mentioned several times here because of fake bags they've sold.

Thank you for authenticating! I gave her the option to return for buyers remorse and drop the SNAD but I think that suggestion made her even more upset. I wish I would have found The Purse Forum before I posted my listing! I love this place!
