Comments: i know this bid has ended, i just wanted to make sure it was authentic! thanks in advance!

Sorry, I can't recommend that bag. The font of the serial number isn't quite right, and the plant code belongs to Costa Rica, not the US, and should not have been used in genuine US-made bags. The clips on the strap seem strange too.

I wantr to check Ebay for more comparisons, but if you haven't paid for it you may want to wait a while.

gnourtmat - there are several other J8Y- prefix bags with Made in US creeds, one's obviously fake (invalid year code) and one isn't even in my files but has the typical fake's damaged leather. The strap clips are also wrong.

Al the other J8Y- creeds have the correct made in Costa Rica creeds.

The Court Bag isn't genuine, sorry.

EDITED TO ADD - I just noticed you're the seller - you need to cancel this transaction and refund any payment you may have received.

Hyacinth - So if we find out we bought a fake, at what point after is it too late to ask for a refund? Just asking here because I just read your last post.

Also I noticed a seller mentioned authenticity proven through this forum. Is that OK to do?

Thanks!

I never even checked that! THanks for the heads up! awesome as usual!
You're welcome.

Thanks, BB! Yes, I don't think I'll do business with this seller, but I do love the little bag.
You're welcome.

The coin purse looks okay.

You have 45 days from the date the listing ended to file a dispute.

Hi Hyacinth,

Thanks-- I noticed that and emailed them. I just realized that if you double click the main photo (so it pops up), you can view the 5th detail photo much larger and make out the creed numbers. Is that clear enough to make out in your opinion?

EDIT: It looks like F06M-?0403

Looks okay pending a better picture of the creed.

I saw that but it's hard to read. I do think the bag is okay though.

I can't recommend either seller. The first one's total Feedback shows that she not only uses high-pressure tactics and possibly worse with sellers she's bought from, but she apparently can't be trusted to describe her items accurately. Her Toolhaus feedback is full of warnings when someone knows how to read it.

The second seller has listed at least one obvious fake - the item looks like it may have been removed by Ebay. Sellers are required to verify their items are authentic before listing them.

If I feel a seller is untrustworthy, I won't authenticate any of their bags. There's not enough history about the second seller, and I hope she's learned by now to authenticate her items. The plant code in her listing is problematic and has appeared for 2 different plants so I'm not 100 percent certain that one's genuine.

I will NOT authenticate anything from the first seller, sorry.

I totally understand.....thank-you for taking the time to reply back! ;-)
