It seems to be ok but I only have one picture to compare it to. Coach called it a Signature Braided Tote.

i wasn't looking to buy it i was looking at alexandras and noticed the same listing. what a cheapo (sorry if thats not allowed.) but what some sellers will do... its very aweful and dishonest in my opinion. I cannot believe that she/he has gotten away with doing so for that long. I just notiiced it and decided to post it in case any of you were bidding on it and warning ya!

Sorry but I have to comment.

First, this thread is for authentication requests and should generally stay on topic.

As for a seller having 2 listings for the same item, the sneakiness you're implying is (IMO) not necessarily sneakiness at all. While as I said, I don't recommend the seller you mentioned, many sellers have more than one of an item. When that's the case, they often list one of them on auction and the other as a fixed price/b.o. listing.

There's nothing sneaky, illegal or underhanded about it. I don't know whether that's the case with the seller in question but it is wrong to assume that when a seller has listings for more than one of the same style/item then the seller must be unethical.

Coach doesn't sell the checkbook inserts individually so there are only two options by which this seller has them.

Option 1: they're fake
Option 2: they're authentic but separated/stolen from the original checkbook wallet with which they belong.

I've seen instances where sellers have the full checkbook wallet and sell both pieces individually; not illegal but not completely honorable because they probably do it to get more money from 2 individual sales than from the single sale.

But since shoppingcafe2011 doesn't appear to have sold wallets, this scenario isn't likely.

Another comment on the seller is that she frequently uses stolen stock photos in her listings. She doesn't even show any pictures of her own actual items.

Thanks. Since there is no proof, I can't report her, right? The funny thing is that the only reason I found her is because she bid on a high number of one seller's auctions and won 5 of the same identical Coach purse, and then bid on 5 listings of another identical Coach purse from the same seller, and won 3. Another bidder won the other 2. I know there is something fishy about her and the situation but I can't figure it out. She hasn't listed these purses, but if she did, there is no way she could make a profit.

There should be a better picture of the logo plaque taken from straight-on and a clearer picture of the creed. Overall, though, I don't see any glaring red flags.

PCL is right about the different green colors and lining colors.

Welcome to tPF! We do want to help potential buyers but you have to please be patient!

We authenticate on our own time and have jobs, homes, lives, and families to take care of. We come here when time allows and it's not 24-7.

Your post wasn't responded to because the expert(s) who know the classic leather bags haven't stopped by and those of us who have looked aren't adept enough to authenticate the bag you've asked about.

Reposting multiple times won't do any good if there's no one to answer you.
