Some of the posters on Listia are arguing about a bag. Some think it's fake because they haven't seen it before. Others claim that it's authentic.

Perhaps the doubters need to read other opinions:

Title: Violet Purple COACH Purse
Item number: ??
Seller: k8lun

I believe you have to sign up to read the questions and comments. There's a wealth of misinformation posted there.

You can read the questions and comments without signing up or logging in. So is it authentic or not?

Thanks for reporting!

BTW, I just updated the Fakes List and added a bit more "stuff" so if you have the old link saved please add the new one(s). There are 3 consecutive posts now:

Item: Seldom Used Coach Purse #C06Q-1218

Listing number: 140529388365
Seller: healthcarepsi
Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140529388365&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Would this style number also be fake because of the last four digits ending in the 1200's?

Item: "Coach Black Leather Backpack Style Purse"
Listing Number: #160562489481
Seller: zarzarg

Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...witem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_500wt_1156

Comments: Sigh, I bought this because I decided I wanted a little leather backpack, and this fit the bill and just happened to be Coach and was within my price range, so I bought it up. The question of authenticity never even crossed my mind until I received the item and took a look at the Coach creed, which looked, well, unprofessional. Ungrammatical, with words split between lines.

Question: If I return the item to the seller, is it within my rights to also request a refund of my shipping fees, both to and from the seller? The seller does offer a 3-day return policy, and the shipping fees aren't exorbitant. On the other hand, if this does turn out to be a fake, then I obviously did not buy what I thought I did (i.e. the item was "misrepresented"), and had I known beforehand, then I obviously would not have bought the item and had to pay shipping fees to have the item shipped to me and for me to ship it back.

Thanks in advance for all of your wonderful help! :) I'm just sorry I even have to ask in the first place ... :P

You're completely within your rights to insist on a full refund of all shipping charges INCLUDING shipping back to the seller if she wants that fake returned. She violated US law and Ebay rules by selling a counterfeit. If she refuses, file a SNAD claim with Ebay for the entire amount and explain that the bag is fake, the creed has spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes and not only shows a known fake serial number but claims to be made in Korea where Coach has NEVER made bags. Be sure to save that creed photo on your computer.

This should help you understand why we always insist on seeing a photo of the creed patch and don't recommend that anyone bid on any auction that doesn't include one.

And please check the updated Fake Serial Numbers lists, all 3 posts, before bidding on or buying any more Coaches.
