Item: Names unknown, E7B-4140, 597-4927 (creed looks funny to me, cant make out what it says on the bottom), one with no creed.

The one with the funny creed I've had for a long time, it was gray but faded to a white. I dyed it Navy Blue so there are alterations. Thanks in advance!

I'll leave the first two to the experts on older styles. The third one (the pouch) is fine.

The first one is a Lafayette Bag from 1997, the second one is from some time in the mid to late 1980s and just called a Mini Bag and the style number is 9825, the third seems to be a genuine Scribble Pouch of some kind, it's hard to narrow it down further without a creed and serial number.

There's nothing wrong with the creed on the second one, it's just an older bag.and says Made in the United States

Thanks Hyacinth and beenburned. I was one click away to purchase this bag. however I began to have my doubts. First I could not find the serial # on the search engine! Second I looked at the top leather where the zipper is and to me, it looked like plastic. I knew you were going to help me with this confusion. Thanks again

That stiff-looking shiny leather at the top worried me too. The style may be real but I don't have any photos of it although the next number in the sequence belongs to a tote with the same fabric. But the multiple listings from that seller are a huge red flag along with him/her re-using the same pics for every listing. And for a supposedly nine year old bag (the fabric was only used in Fall of 2002) that outlet price tag looks awfully new. The hangtag definitely isn't genuine.

Please authenticate. Does the finish on these continue to peel?

I can't help with authenticity but you may want to Search the main Coach forum for variations of "metallic leather peeling". I think that's been a pretty common problem and once it starts it will probably continue in any areas that are in frequent contact with anything else. Metallic leathers have always been prone to peeling and you have to buy with that in mind.

I want to thank all that chimed in. Hyacinth, I have a question for you. I'm a bit confused with the mini bag. Creed says 4927, how did you find a style # of 9825? When I was trying to research the creed before contacting the forum, the most I could come up with was a Sonoma. However this one wasn't listed in there. Is the creed mis-marked? Thanks!
Sue

Thank you. I do see a lot of problems with the Metallic leathers when I do a search. I will pass on this bag. It's beautiful but would not be with more peeling.
