Salearea is one of the most reputable sellers on Ebay and is very careful about authenticating their items. If you read the negative feedbacks, they seem to be from nitwit buyers who can't be bothered to either read the descriptions or to look at the sellers' photos where every flaw and damaged area is CLEARLY explained AND photographed and where complete measurements are always given.

Unfortunately like too many honest sellers, this one seems to get more than their share of buyers who should be on every seller's Blocked Bidder List. I've bought from Salearea before and would again in a heartbeat.

As for the wallet, I'm not familiar with the newer styles so wait for more opinions.
I'd buy from Salearea in a heartbeat because I know that she is honest in her descriptions and images of her items for sale. And as Hyacinth pointed out, she authenticates any items that she isn't sure of.

Regarding the wallet, there really should be more and clearer pictures of the wallet, hardware and all paperwork.

The seller has a couple of completed listings for this bag that I'd like to hear other opinions on. There's something that bothers me about the gallery picture that I've never seen before.

I'm not seeing anything that jumps out at me in the gallery pic or any other pics in the listing for the Poppy Tote. Though it would have been helpful if the handles, hardware, zipper pulls and hangtags weren't obscured by all that tissue wrapping.

You're welcome. For some reason I'm up in the middle of the night!:smile1:

It "could" be authentic...though 2 pictures aren't enough to tell for sure...at least for me.

It's really, really "used" and the leather on the front piping appears to be worn clear through.

That 7 digit serial number is probably from later 1980's - 1993.

I agree, it is very worn indeed at the piping. Thanks for helping me to date it though. You've been very helpful!

:) thanks ladies have saved this seller for future reference! Will save me having to post authentication questions :)

Another quick question do you guys find much of a difference size wise between a willis and station bag?? Most of the measurements I am seeing are only about an inch difference so I may just go with a station bag if I can manage to win this one :) I like smaller crossbody type bags for the summer but I want to be able to maybe be able to fit my ipod and a camera in it as well for travel in the summer so I don't have to haul a suitcase sized bag on vacation LOL

It really depends on how much you'll be carrying. Since I usually use full-size wallets or a medium-sized one along with a checkbook and cover, the Station Bag is just a bit too small when I add in the phone, 2 sets of keys, driving glasses, and a few basic makeup items. If you don't need all that room, the Station Bag may be ok. Just remember that the top is narrow too so you need to organize the inside so you can put your hand on any item you're looking for with your eyes closed. The pockets in older bags weren't really made with cell phones in mind either. And remember that the Station Bag doesn't have an outside back pocket, although the front pocket under the flap is gusseted where the under-flap front pocket on the Willis is flat. :smile1:

Thanks, I'm not too picky about the cell pocket since all my purses that do have cell pockets my phone doesn't fit in them :( So until they make pockets large enough for iphones/blackberry's I can do without the pocket. That's why I bought a betsey johnson case for my phone to prevent screen scratching.

I normally carry a wallet, my cellphone, small makeup bag (though I can do without it and just bring the lipgloss or lipstick I am wearing that day), and my keys. Sometimes I carry my ipod touch with me and if I am traveling or am going out someplace and need it I bring my camera.
