Update on the wallet situation. I wrote to the lady and let her know that I knew the wallet was fake. This was her reply, copied directly from the ebay message:

Thank you, thank you. I've learned so much from just reading posts and replies, that I just really felt it was "right" when I went to look at it. I've looked at some that I knew were bad from the minute it hit my hand. And I really didn't want to put anything on it, I just knew it was supposed to look this way. WOW, I'm really happy 'cause I love this bag and the price was great! (only mid-double figures, girls) I'm just one of those people that needs to know the name and color name of all of my bags...Thanks again and again...I'll be smiling all night.

Happy New Year, Authenticators!

Thank you so much for all that you do...the authenticators in other parts of TPF aren't near as quick and thorough as you are, and that I appreciate.
Thank you also for the education that you give us on a daily basis. I, as well as many others, have learned so much! :D
Also, thank you for your patience. I realize that sometimes it's hard. LOL!

Hope the year ahead is filled with happiness for all of you!

Item: AUTH COACH MEN/WOMEN SOHO CHECKBOOK WALLET 40094 KHAKI
Item Number: 260712891779
Seller: annatownspecialty
Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260712891779&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Do NOT buy from annatownspecialty. This seller has sold many fake Coach wallets and her listings have multiple red flags.

1. The styles of wallets are all among the most highly faked.
2. The props used are fake -- paperwork, boxes, cards
3. Private listings
4. Quantity of wallets sold

All the seller's completed listings are for fake Coach wallets.

And in fact, the seller was also caught selling fake Ray-bans in September, for which she got negged:
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...=negative&interval=365&_trkparms=negative_365

Since you already left positive feedback, add a comment stating that the seller sold a counterfeit Coach wallet. Be specific and state "fake Coach wallet" since with private listings, that's the only way other buyers will know she sold.

Let the seller know that you want a full refund for the fake wallet and if she doesn't agree to it, then file a dispute: What can I do when I get an item that's not as described?
http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/item-not-received.html

I always like to recommend that in your dispute, you request that you would rather not return the fake to the seller because you don't want her to have the opportunity to resell it. But do hold on to it in the event that they do require you to return it.

Thank you so much. I will write to her now. I'll keep you updated on it.

Do not buy from annatownspecialty. This seller sells fakes. All the Coach wallets this seller has sold are fake.
http://completed.shop.ebay.com/annat...0&_rdc=1&_rdc=

The seller has had feedbacks of fake Raybans and a fake 3M product:
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAP...0&mPg=2&page=1

Coach wallets are some of the most frequently faked items, and people have to be very careful when buying online. Be very wary of new sellers with little feedback, selling multiple highly faked styles of wallets. Another red flag is private listings. Private listings make it hard to check the seller's feedback for items they've sold. Private listings can also hide evidence of shill bidding. Many fakes sellers know this and use private listings to their advantage.

There are several problems with the wallet in the listing above. One major problem is the stitching. The stitching is wrong on both the inside and outside of the wallet. There are also other things pictured in the listing that aren't right.

I'm sorry you got a fake. Please get a refund asap. And be sure to ask here if you thinking of bidding on any other wallets in the future.

EDIT: I see BB has already responded. But it doesn't hurt to reiterate the warning against buying from annatownspecialty!

Stephie, good luck with your refund!

Thank you. I will. I'm so bummed out. I really liked that wallet, and when you talked about "shill bidding" I think she got me with that too. It was happening at 10 minute intervals, almost to the second.

I don't believe for 1 second that your seller, annatownspecialty made an "honest" mistake. This seller has quite a long history of selling fake Coach wallets and based on her previous feedbacks, fake Ray-bans and fake 3M products.

And her private listings are hiding other provable violations as well as preventing buyers from seeing the true selling history of this seller.

IMO, if the seller gives you a refund, it should include your shipping costs in both directions since you shouldn't be out any money on a fake.

You certainly are welcome to sent your seller a link to this post. In some cases, ID'ing a fake is trickier than other cases, but with her items, they were/are obvious fakes.

I included the link in my initial email to her. I'm going to show you what was included with the wallet when I got it. I'm assuming I will be responsible for the return shipping. Here it is:

You have nothing to lose by telling her that you'd like your shipping paid in both directions. Or perhaps you can offer to destroy and dispose of the fake since it's illegal for her to resell it anyway. Suggest that it will save both of you the hassle of paying for a return of an item that's illegal anyway.

Name: COACH Poppy Demi clutch wallet 44059
Seller: bluheron22

I just bought a coach poppy sateen signature hippie in black/gray and wanted a wallet to match this is the only one I could find. I just wanted to make sure this was real. Thanks

There aren't enough pictures. There should be larger pictures of the front, back, inside, and of the creed. (This style does have a creed.)

Ditto what Starry said. We don't always tell posters what they want to hear but we do what we do to help.

It's nice to dream of the day that this type of forum won't be necessary because all listings would be authentic, but until that fateful day, we're here to help when we can.

Please help me with these items =D between Happy New Year! BeenBurned and starrymaz really appreciate your help and quick feedback!

Item: Genuine HTF Pink Coach purse/wallet/clutch/shoulde bag
Listing number: 180607501312
Seller: amandadegeus1992

Once again thank you!

That leather really looks pretty beat up. I'm seeing worn spots and slight discoloration on the front, front flap and back, and which makes it even more suspect is that there doesn't seem to be any heavy wear or color loss in the corners. The leather doesn't look like it's ever been conditioned either except maybe for the lighter-colored area in the right center of the back where it looks as is if they tried to condition or rub the lighter-colored area.

I'd definitely want to see closer pics of the front flap and the top half of the back of the bag, along with the creed stamp and the inside. Personally if I saw that listing I don't think I'd bid, but that JMO.

It's a Willis Bag and those HAVE been faked, so better pics are really needed. More opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks, I may wait for one that is better priced...I don't mind some wear because I know they aren't going to look brand new, but a lot of the ones I see listed the corners are completely worn down with holes so no pics of the corners makes me automatically pass unless they send additional pics.
