Item: Brown convertible zip bag (Soho satchel?)
Listing number: NA
Seller: Goodwill
Link: NA
Comments: The style number is BIN-9063 or B1N-9063 (I can’t tell if the second digit is the letter I or the numeral 1). The dimensions are:

8.5 tall by 11.0 wide by 5 deep.

Again, any info you can share will be greatly appreciated!

The bag itself seems to be ok but I don't have one to compare it to any more. The serial number isn't quite kosher though. "N" should be only on bags made in Mexico, although I've always wondered if Coach used the "made in the US" creeds in bags made offshore while keping the correct plant code just to make them more palatable to the buying public. We've seen quite a few with that kind of discrepancy and it wouldn't surprise me if Coach falsified the country of origin.

I'd have to say "Wonky but probably genuine". AFAIK it was just called a Legacy Satchel.

Here's a blowup of Coach's pic:

Can someone authenticate this listing? I know this seller has had mixed reviews on the site, but is this bag authentic?

Thanks!

"Mixed reviews" doesn't even begin to cover it.

You also need to look at her Ebay Feedback summary at Toolhaus.org:
http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=taniboop&Dirn=Received+by&ref=home

Yikes. The bag looks authentic though.
Since you didn't post in a format that shows the seller ID, I'll post here. I wouldn't recommend taniboop for the reasons Hyacinth posted in relation to her feedback.

In addition to her questionable feedback as a seller, she is not a buyer many sellers enjoy dealing with either. As indicated by her bidding history, taniboop buys her bags from other ebay sellers, often from listings with very few pictures and lack of details in the descriptions. When she receives these bags, she extorts partial refunds from the sellers because of perceived damage. She then sells those bags on ebay without describing the supposed damage about which she complained to her sellers!

With a bag as "well-faked" as this Sabrina bag, I would be very careful buying from a seller who might have made a purchase from a listing without enough pictures to prove authenticity.

Here's my next "mystery bag"

Item: Navy blue zip bag (Worth bag, maybe?)
Listing number: NA
Seller: Goodwill
Link: Not applicable

Comments: I think this bag looks genuine but my major concern is that the backs of the 2 buckles are stamped “solid brass” and I have never seen that on a coach bag before. The zipper pull is stamped “YKK” but I know that isn’t a guarantee.

The style number is C6M-4143 and the dimensions are: 7.5 tall by 11.0 wide by 4.5 deep. I will post some more pics with the next message. Thanks in advance!

I've seen a few genuine bags with the "solid brass" stamp on the hardware so it may be ok but I'm not familiar with the Worth Bags and can't say if it was typical for that style. Some other Soho styles have been faked quite a bit but Worth Bags not so much. Sometimes without having an example of the genuine bag to compare it to, it's almost impossible to say for sure.

This is another bag where the plant code doesn't jive with the creed stamp. The "M" code should be Costa Rica but we've seen it on US-stamped creeds before. The odd thing is that I have bags that state Made in Costa Rica from both 1995 and 1997 with M codes, and I wonder how that code would have designated a US plant in 1996. So it seems like a good possibility that Coach played games with their creed and serial number stamps.

That probably doesn't help a lot with the authenticity question but there just isn't enough information about what was going on behind the scenes at Coach to say for sure.

I think these are both being listed by the same person. Do you need me to ask for better pictures of the creeds or other details or can you tell anything from these pictures? Thanks!

They do appear to be the same seller and the pictures appear to be authentic Coach bags.

If you buy, make sure that the bag you receive is the same as that in the pictures.

Thanks so much, it does seem to be made of genuine, older coach leather!

I used eye shadow to try and get better creed pics for the willis bag shown in post 9568 and 9569, here are my best efforts. The style number appears to be No. G9C-9927, thank you!

Comments: This bag was put up for almost two days and no one bought it. I ended up buying it but am paranoid that even though there were more expensive listings of this bag that people were bidding on, no one bought this one. Additionally, all her bags seem to be from the outlet and pretty cheap. They seem like prices for what she would have paid -- then why sell them on Ebay? Thanks so much. I'm just starting to get into Coach and have turned to looking on Ebay for cheaper prices but am afraid of fakes.
