DemRam is correct. The bag is a bad fake and obviously the seller knows it.

As for the serial number being on the "fakes" list, although "9818" isn't on the list, there are some very similar numbers listed: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-sh...enticity-questions-94198-24.html#post11763206

Scroll about 1/2 way down the post and see Hyacinth's reference to "DEJ."

EDITED TO ADD: I looked again at that listing and the serial number in the listing and it IS the number on "the list." The "style number" portion is 9816. (I think you misread the 6 as 8.)

yes i misread and must have missed the DEJ, so much detail!! you guys are excellent, so thank you !!

I'm starting with the last one.

It appears to me to be an authentic "Small Zippered Pouch" from 1994. Pictured below:

The bag "looks like" the Convertible Satchel...but that creed is way too wacky looking for me!

Definitely wait for Hyacinth to comment...on all of these.

Thank you! I used the powder technique and took several more creed pics, these 2 are the best:

i purchased these 2 wallets on ebay and i'm questioning it and it dont feel good :(
*the daisy wallets' "C" looks funky & the tag on it (sorry couldn't get it so clear) but everything else "seems" fine.
*the leather wallet has "coach" into the button snap hole, never seen or noticed such a thing, otherwise "seems" fine.

please authenticate it for me ladies! thank u soo much!

Comments: two more bags I am unsure about. This seller is selling a ton of vintage bags and a lot of them are high end she also has a few fake chanel ones listed but she says they are replica...so not sure I would consider buying from her anyway since she is knowingly selling fakes....but wanted to check on these two that looked interesting...

The secong bag Ladyash asked about is also genuine, and I'm ecstatic because I finally found what that particular line was called. :yahoo:

I've been just calling them Pre-Sheridans but the family name was DAKOTA and they shared the same style number sequence as the Sheridans. They were only made in 1992 as far as I can tell, and never had serial numbers. Every one I've seen was Made In Italy though.

This particular one is a Dakota Ranger Bag, style # 4201.

yay thank you!! I might have to start searching google for one of those bags I like the contrasting detail!

Looking for "Dakota" probably won't help much though, in all the ones I've seen on Ebay, no one has ever identified any of them as a Dakota style.

Try searching with terms like vintage, pebbled, textured, Sheridan, etc. The Sheridans are very similar except for the texture of the leather grain and having a lining. Almost all of them also have the contrasting "spectator" trim too. I like both lines and have quite a few in my closet. The leather is very stiff compared to the classic glove leather bags but they're really weather-resistant. Those are the only Coaches I carry when it's raining or snowing.

And remember to check here before bidding, some fakes of those styles have been spotted.
