Item:Authentic Coach Fur Handbag
Seller:ngliberty

Item:Authentic COACH Vintage Made in Italy
Seller: ngliberty
Link: http://www.etsy.com/listing/62349522/authentic-coach-vintage-made-in-italy

Comments: two more bags I am unsure about. This seller is selling a ton of vintage bags and a lot of them are high end she also has a few fake chanel ones listed but she says they are replica...so not sure I would consider buying from her anyway since she is knowingly selling fakes....but wanted to check on these two that looked interesting...

The fur-trimmed bag doesn't show any red flags but none of the seller's listings have enough pictures or clear enough pictures of creeds.

In addition to the fake Chanel (described as "replica"), the seller also has this fake Coach wallet, which even if it were authentic certainly wouldn't be vintage:

I wouldn't buy from ngliberty because I'm not sure she knows the difference in identifying authentic vs. fake designer items.

#1 - Looks fine

#2 - Needs more pictures

#3 - Please request clear head-on picture of the creed.

I recently purchased this purse on Ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...3D&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:B:EOIBSA:US:1123

It is the first purse I have ever liked enough to use (I am a 34 year old tomboy with very plain taste), so I really hope it isn't fake. I bought it because I have been using the same coach wallet now for 18 years and wanted a purse that might last that long! I can take a better pic of the creed, if necessary. TIA!

hmm any ideas on the second bag I posted? I'm not sure about it but something about the hang tag seems different unless it's just the camera angle. Also the back pic doesn't look like the brown leather detailing lines up, but again it could be camera angle. If that one IS authentic does anyone know the name of the bag so I can search for one maybe on ebay or from a different seller since I won't be buying from this seller.

Edit: it also looks like the creed might not have a number...but it's too hard to tell since there is no close up pic

Please wait for other opinions on this but from what I'm seeing, the bag looks okay. (Please post a link to the listing.)

The bag you bought was made in July, 2010 so it's certainly not an old bag.

I don't see a problem with the stitching. There'll always be some backtacking (over-stitching) at the end of a seam in order to secure the stitching and prevent unraveling. That's what you're seeing on the zipper pull and top piping trim.

The slightly uneven stitch length (pic 2) appears to be a result of the difficulty of working with and sewing patent leather.

Remember that Coach, although a good quality bag isn't made by craftsmen (such as those who make Hermes) and the quality (and price) aren't Hermes level.

Regarding the paperwork, that is odd. The booklet appears to be something the seller might have had around and stuck into the bag. I think it's old.

Please do wait for other opinions but I believe you received an authentic bag.

thank you beenburned. another reason i asked is because one night i was using this bag, the long shoulder strap would fall off from the clasp. when i inspected it, it appears the springs on the metal clasps are loose and the other side is rusty. any thoughts on these? thanks.

If you have an account on ebay Philippines, you can try reporting. I'll PM you with the details that are wrong.

I have to agree with Starry that there are some very suspicious and apparently "good" fakes being sold by Phillippino powersellers.

Please post the additional pictures that Starry asked for regarding the blue Leah because I didn't realize that it was from a seller with a history.

Comments:This is a blog store in Singapore. I need some help authenticating this bag. Thanks!
I don't feel comfortable about recommending this seller because it appears that at least some of the listings have pictures stolen from other sellers.

I have no idea whether the seller has authentic items if the pictures aren't her own.

Example:

Looking at the seller's pictures and your own pictures and description of the flaws, I have to say that there are too many red flags to ignore: the seller's history of selling fakes, the fake paperwork, problems with the stitching (both quality and type of thread), creed, date code, lining, the quality of the "patent leather" and "vachetta leather trim", and the overall workmanship. This bag is not Coach quality.

In the pictures, it looks like there's a tag attached to the bag. That tag is not a Coach price tag. Did you receive the bag with the tag attached and can you post a picture of the tag?

I'm sorry, but I don't believe this bag is authentic.

In your other question, you asked me how I could tell a bag is fake. When you've looked at many bags, both fake and authentic, you become familiar with real vs. fake details, and get a sense of the way details are supposed to look, and the way details appear in pictures. I'm sorry I can't be more specific - there are some things that can only be explained through experience and years of collecting, buying/selling, and looking at authentic Coach items. :smile1: Just remember that it's easy to make things look "good" in pictures by choosing what to show and what not to show, what angles to use. Many fakes sellers know just how to take pictures to make a fake look authentic.
