Thank you so much for your help. That's what I was thinking when I first saw the bag, but since I'm not a Coachie, I was hoping I was wrong for the purchaser's sake. I'm hoping that whoever sold it to her made an honest mistake, and didn't lie just to make a quick buck. I'm glad to have this verified and will break the news to her. :sad:

Although both listings could use more pictures, I think both look okay.

I'm assuming that you've received the first one. Why do you have doubts about #1?

The bag you bought was made in July, 2010 so it's certainly not an old bag.

I don't see a problem with the stitching. There'll always be some backtacking (over-stitching) at the end of a seam in order to secure the stitching and prevent unraveling. That's what you're seeing on the zipper pull and top piping trim.

The slightly uneven stitch length (pic 2) appears to be a result of the difficulty of working with and sewing patent leather.

Remember that Coach, although a good quality bag isn't made by craftsmen (such as those who make Hermes) and the quality (and price) aren't Hermes level.

Regarding the paperwork, that is odd. The booklet appears to be something the seller might have had around and stuck into the bag. I think it's old.

Please do wait for other opinions but I believe you received an authentic bag.

imeeh19 - Can you post the link to the ebay listing where you bought this bag? The booklet is not supposed to come with the bag. The paperwork is definitely fake. There are multiple misspellings, wrong punctuation, and wrong font.

I'm wary of any Coach items purchased on ebay.ph because there are several sellers on there who sell very realistic-looking fakes. While I don't see any obvious red flags on your bag, I'd like to see a few more pictures. Can you post a picture of the back of the bag, the inside of the bag (take the picture from the top to show the entire inside of the bag), a closeup picture of the turnlock on the front and the snap button on the back, the rivets on the ends of the handles, the dogleash clip on the strap, and the hangtag. Also post a picture of the hardware on the underside of the front pocket.

EDITED TO ADD: Can you also post another picture of the creed taken in daylight without the flash? There's something about the font that's throwing me off. I want to see it more clearly.

Hey everyone! I am back to the addiction again...
What style should I be looking for in a wallet/mini skinny? that is small and thin that would work in my bag for the summer? It's the bag in my display pic and its the only coach bag I actually own. I LOVE this bag but I can't get my betsey johnson wallet to fit in it with my cell.
Would a mini skinny work best?

The more I look at the creed, the more things I'm finding that bother me. I'm not sure if it's the lighting or shadows that's causing these discrepancies, so that's why I'd like to see a picture without shadows.

imeeh19 - In addition to the pictures requested above, can you also post a picture of the sides and bottom of the bag as well. Thanks.

ETA: The serial number is also puzzling, as it doesn't match up with the dates of release for this style. Although, there is a range of when the style was still being made, so it could be possible that it was still made in July 2010.

oh also with my post above...that bag can't be vintage because there is what looks like a cell pocket, but the creed says made in the U.S. Do they make bags in the U.S anymore? Sorry but I don't know a lot about Coach lol but...hmmm I'm stumped?? Genuine or Fake?
