can anyone please help me to authenticate this diaper bag? thanks!!

Hello,

I recently came across this bag in a thrift shop. My first thought was 'FAKE'! On closer inspection, however, the quality seemed very good, so I brought it home anyway. I'm still convinced I'm right, but I thought of double-checking with all you experts here before I re-donate.

There's no serial number on the creed, but having perused this forum I understand this may not mean anything?

It's a cheap fake.

Please don't re-donate or it'll end up back in circulation. If you want a refund (which I think you should demand), take it back to the thrift shop and let them know that it is illegal to sell fakes and to reimburse you.

But again, don't let that bag get back into circulation where a future buyer might list it on ebay.

How much did you spend? If it's more than a few bucks, you should get a refund.

I see several red flags with this bag. There are problems with the fabric, stitching, hardware, rivets, lining, and inside zipper pull. Do not bid without seeing a picture of the creed.

It looks ok. It's a Parker Leather Small Wallet, style 42446.

Thank you Starry! Yes, the stitching was different (count, color, placement), and the texture of the leather looked different between these two.
I am looking for a black '07 wallet...whether it be the small or the large. Now I know what to look for, but I will come to you all with any potentials.

BB, thank you for your guidance. I will add that seller to my list of "no-no's".

And no...the bag is not hideous...but it is hideously (AKA obvious) fake. I am sure if you can find a similar authentic one, it will be 10 times more beautiful though.
