Thank you for your time & sharing your experienced thoughts!

I guess I owe the Seller an apology (?).

I still wish there were some place on this site to learn how to navigate. There MUST be some basic reasoning/logic rules on how to find stuff.
I keep bumping haphazardly around like a pinball till I find what I'm looking for.

Good thing I'm retired. . .Help!

It does take some time to figure out how to navigate this huge site. There's a wealth of information here.

In the future, please ask questions to verify authenticity before accusing a seller of selling a fake. You might want to direct the seller here too since she might want to ask some questions about her previous listing. ;)

I only found this site after we had reached an impasse after I called the S.F. Coach Store mgr. who informed me it's against corp. policy to do authentifications.

Seller claims it was authenticated by Coach but would not tell me what store/source when asked.

Seller then offered to refund but has yet to respond to my last email on the subject.

I cont'd researching and found this site.

Many thanks for your help. You've been most patient!

Hi:
Thanks --I'm gonna' need this. I hope it is detailed --I'm not even clear on some of the jargon used. . .(e.g., what's the diff. between Post a Reply and a Quick Reply)

Love your doggy pic. My mutt is often mistaken for either a KCSpan or a Papillon but when you put him next to either, he looks totally different.

I'm such a newbie I'm not allowed to post my pup yet.

Quick reply is if you don't want to add anything extra, do any quotes and just wanna make a quick comment.

If you multi-quote, single quote or want to attach pictures, you'll have to "post a reply" and use the additional tools that are available on that site that aren't available to quick reply's.

Hi BunnyM - (adorable bunny pic)

Thanks for the info.

Maybe you can explain why is it when I go to the Authenticate This tab, I.D. the Coach brand, I end up on a PixieGreen page where the last post is dated 4/10/10?
And there,it says something about a thread being closed.

So I have to go back into my own acct. to find the dialogue I started about the Red Coach Soho Mini Sig in order to find any new replies?

It sounds like you went to the older thread. After so long, the thread gets too long so they close it and start a new one.

I usually bookmark the current thread and subscribe to get notifications of new posts. That way, when someone responds or posts a new question, you'll get an email telling you there's an update and clicking on the link brings you to the next unread post.

To subscribe, go to the upper part of the page and click on " Thread Tools
menu_open.gif
. Click on Subscribe to this Thread and you can choose how you want your updates and how often.

That said, the seller did sell a "lot" of Coach items that has at least one fake Coach bag:

http://cgi.ebay.com/REAL-COACH-WHAT...434?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item33624f5d12

Really? Which one? What gave it away? (I'd like to learn to spot better -- train my eyes!)

The khaki signature hobo is the fake.

If you look at the number of rows of stitching on that fake, you'll see that it has the extra rows that you think your bag should have. This is an example of exactly why counting rows of stitching is not an indicator of authenticity. There are many other problems with that bag though.

There's another questionable bag in the lot - the shape and spacing of the C pattern on the black and white signature bag is wrong.
