Ladies, can you let me know if you see any red flags with this one, because I've been looking for 2 days and can't find a darn thing wrong. Also in one of the photos I did notice a tiny glimpse of the YKK zipper.
This is completely NOT what I wanted for fall, but this is my purse soul mate! I would like to start bidding, and since I have not bought one purse in the last 10 days of combing EBAY my bank account is at the full mercy of this one....
Fake or Take?
Amen to that! A huge number of the "Authenticity Guides" you find on the Internet including at Ebay and at other purse forums are completely useless and even dangerous to depend on. Their information is incomplete, years and sometimes a decade out of date, and often just plain WRONG. The "YKK myth" is a perfect example. Coach has used at least 5 different brands of zippers on their bags and accessories and a YKK stamp means nothing - fakes manufacturers can buy real YKK zippers as easily as they can buy a bowl of noodles, and they can buy fake YKK-stamped zippers just as easily. Think about it - how hard is it to copy a zipper? Unfortunately none of the geniuses who Copy & Paste someone else's "Guide" and slaps their own name on it ever bother to do any actual research or to even think something through logically.
Do yourself a favor and start going through the "Answers To Authenticity Questions" thread just a step away from this one. The older posts may not have up-to-date information but the newer ones can teach a lot to anyone who takes the time to read them.
And remember - there is NO one single detail, or even two or three, that can ever PROVE a bag or other Coach item is genuine. There are no shortcuts, and there are almost no "Rules" that don't have exceptions.

The bag is fine.
But please lose the "YKK zipper" notion! Not all Coach bags have YKK zippers and existence of a YKK zipper doesn't mean the bag is authentic.
