Hyacinth and Been Burned, Many thanks for your replies. I just became interested in Coach bags a few months ago, and I had read a few websites regarding telling fake from real. I wish I had discovered TPF forum earlier :)

I understand that you can't tell if my bag is fake, but at least I now know that Coach DID make this particular style. I will try to get some pics taken of mine also.

Oh, and northern said I could get my money back from Ebay...I don't think so, because it looks like it has been way too long.

I will ask you guys before I buy anything else from Ebay :)

Thanks again. You are great.

Becky

Please please PLEASE disregard everything you've ever read on those other websites about how to tell real from fake! Most of those Rules or Guides are complete BS, filled with grossly out-of-date or just plain WRONG information.

Almost every Guide is just a Copy&Paste of someone else's Guide, and the same nonsense keeps getting spread around because no one who posts one of those stupid things takes the time to actually do any research. There are NO Rules or details that can EVER prove a bag is fake - not price tags or serial numbers or even seams or perfect C's and especially not YKK zippers.

There's a hundred times more useful information posted here in the Answers To Authenticity Questions thread than you'll find in a thousand of those Guides. Sorry to be so vehement, but you have no idea how much harm can be done by those inaccurate "rules".

Starrymaz,The first thing I want to say sorry about the picture from that ebay seller,my bad I forgot I can post the link,
I promise I don't do this again.

And this the picture from siambrandname. I already ask for the last number 1417_? and she said "8"

No need to be sorry. I think we both misunderstood each other. I didn't see the other pictures because I didn't look on the first page in your earlier link. I was wondering whether someone else had used the ebay seller's pics. I didn't realize that you were comparing the style number from the patent Sabrina with the chainlink bag.

If the last number in the style number of the bag in the pictures you posted is in fact an 8, then that bag has a the wrong style number. I've never seen this bag in this style before. More opinions are welcome, but I wouldn't want to buy it.

Thank you very much Starrymaz,I will wait for next opinions.:smile1:

Ok been burned on Ebay before...tried looking up the serial number and I am just not finding many of these on google. So I thought I would see what you guys think. (and does anyone know what the dimensions are? Emailed seller with no response)

The bag looks fine although I don't know what the dimensions are.

I don't know how much time has passed since you emailed the seller but you might want to try again. If you've emailed the seller without a response (assuming you're allowing time to respond), you might want to rethink whether this is a seller with whom you want to do business. If the seller is non-responsive before the sale, I can't imagine him being more responsive in the event of a problem after the fact.

Whoever "northern415" is, she was also wrong about the style number, since there are at least 60 listed for sale on Ebay and several are from well-known sellers. That bag was probably at the outlets within the last 6 or 8 months judging by the number available for sale.

That DOESN'T mean that bjsullivan's bag is genuine but it DOES mean that northern415 apparently not only doesn't recognise a genuine Coach but also doesn't bother to do even a few seconds' research to see if there are other bags in the same style with the same number being sold by usually-trustworthy sellers.

Like we said, just because someone claims to be a tPF member, that doesn't make him or her an expert. Whoever that Ebayer is, she needs to find something else to do with her time - something NOT involving authenticating Coaches. :nono:
I have another comment on the messenger, northern415. I am skeptical about her knowledge of Coach since this fake keychain was one of her purchases from a seller who doesn't sell authentic Coach keychains. She left him positive feedback on Oct. 19 for that fake:
