I'm looking at the actual clip - clipS, actually since the keychain includes 2 - and it's exactly the same as the one in the listing. Sorry, I don't have a digital camera but there's no doubt whatsoever that it's the same. Even the size is right since the 2 clips are smaller than the ones usually used on keychains and purse charms and so are the keyrings. Coach's normal keyrings are about 1 5/8 inch outside diameter but the ones on the Dog Leash Valet keychain are 1 1/4 on the outside. The clips are 1 3/8 inches long, and the keychain includes two clips and two keyrings.

BB, take another look at Coach's pic and remember, there are two clips clipped together, they're at 90 degrees from each other, and only one side of one clip has the Coach stamp. Every single detail on my clips is identical - EVERYTHING - from the size and positioning of the Coach lozenge to the flat round "cap" at the end opposite from the opening to the shape of the letters inside the Coach lozenge including the shape of the serifs on the Cs. The letters are less than two millimeters high and they're exactly right in every detail. Tell me how many fakes you've seen that can say that. The same fine detail is on the clip in the listing.

Again, I'm holding the actual 7364 in my hand along with the price tag and also have a very good selection of magnifying glasses. I'm 100 percent certain that the clip and keyring on the Heart charm is one-half of that Valet keychain.

More proof - the Holiday 2002 catalog dated 11-1-02, page 29, style 7364, is clipped onto the strap of the Sig Khaki Wristlet with a key hanging from one end, and the shape of the clips and the Coach stamp on the lower dog-leash clip comes through perfectly.

That's what I mean by a "marriage", like when the top and bottom of 2 different antique dressers or cabinets are put together to form a single almost-matched unit. The Heart and the 3-link chain attached to it are from one original Heart keyring or charm, and the keyring and dog-leash clip are one-half of a 7346 which was just 2 clip-and-ring combos attached together by the dog-leash clips so you could just unclip one from the other if you needed to separate your car and house keys.
Thank you Hyacinth. I don't have the other style clip to compare so I was only basing my opinion one what I do have.

And because you have the actual item and the ability to make a side by side comparison, I have no doubt that you are correct.

And you're also right that we never see the fakers get such minute details correct.

It threw me the first time I saw it too since a stamp on a clip is a very rara avis and since I bought it on Fleabay along with a few other old accessories. But this one is the one exception I've found.

It's always fun finding one of the exceptions.

........ which is exactly why those "always/never" guides aren't worth the cyber paper they're written on.

Item: COACH WHITE CREME PURSE LEATHER LEGACY CITY BAG 9790
Listing number: 160495859576
Seller: purseandwalletgirl
link: http://cgi.ebay.com/COACH-WHITE-CRE...H_Handbags&hash=item255e4c7778#ht_7419wt_1139

It looks ok, I'm just wondering how the seller managed to get 2 identical white bags with exactly the same serial numbers. Sure it's possible, but it's very unusual. She calls one white and one bone but uses the same pictures for both listings. A seller of older bags should always use photos of the exact bag she's selling in case there's any damage or wear the buyer should know about.

You might want to ask her if both bags are exactly the same color and if there's any difference between them.

Thank you! I emailed the seller about that...

and then I had another question? On the Creed it says Made in Costa Rica? Did Coach make handbags there? I thought it was only in the US...

This is for a friend that bought this Coach bag on EBay from a seller that is now known for selling fakes. Please help authenticate if you can. Not sure of the name as I haven't seen this bag before. It was only listed as "Black Coach Signature Tote". Thank you so much. You guys are AWESOME!! ;)

Coach has made bags in many countries including the US, Costa Rica, Italy, the Dominican Republic, Turkey, Mexico, Hungary and possibly Thailand although there's some disagreement on that. Since 2000 their production has been relocated almost exclusively to China, and recently also to India and Vietnam.

Many fakes are marked Made in Korea but Coach has never made bags there.
