Comments I think this bag is real, but is this the true color? I am thinking it should be a darker shade of purple...more like the one for Item 190456253162. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190456253162&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Thanks
Becky

I don't see any red flags in the first listing, but you should ask for a picture of the creed if you're interested in bidding.

The second listing from younglabels is authentic.

Lighting and camera flash can affect the way colors look in pictures. But please note that you can't really compare the two bags because they are two different styles. The first one is a Sabrina and the second one is an Audrey.

Thanks for the advice! My search for a Sabrina continues... but for future reference, does this bag look "off"? How can I tell if a Sabrina is authentic or not?

The listing has no description at all, no measurements, no description of the bag, nothing! The title says the bag is "brand new." I find it strange that the seller would be selling this "brand new" bag for only $150. There doesn't appear to be a price tag attached. I question whether the bag is actually new or it it has been used.

The small black patent Sabrina did come with a strap. The strap is not shown in the pictures. This is another reason I question whether the bag is actually new.

FYI, the seller has a fake LV backpack "with matching wallet" for sale, also selling for $150. IMO, this isn't a seller I'd want to do business with.

You're welcome. While it doesn't look "off" from the pictures, when buying online, especially on a local sale site, you need to be careful because some sellers may use stolen photos where the pictures show an authentic bag but then they send you a fake.

Comments:

I've never seen a charm clip engraved with "Coach" like this one. Is the clip original to the keychain and is this keychain authentic? TIA.

I don't know if the clip came with the keychain, but the clip is definitely fake. Coach has never used one like that before although that style Heart has been used with around 4 different styles of keychains and clips.

Hang on, I just remembered one oddball keychain - let me see if I can find it...

OK, I stand corrected. They DID make one clip like that, it was half of an early Valet style and had 2 dog-leash clips, one of them had the Coach lozenge stamped on it. Style number was 7364 and I have one that still has the price tag on it.

The one in the listing is a "marriage" though, the Heart looks ok and was added to the clip somewhere along the way.

Here's the clip with the rest of the keychain. The stamped logo doesn't show in the pic, it's on only one of the clips.

We ALWAYS need to see photos. No serial number can ever prove that a bag is genuine since almost every fake has a serial number of some kind and some are even correct for the style they're used in.

But as DemRam said, the third number is definitetely fake and we CAN tell by the serial number. Too few digits, missing codes, and already found in dozens of fake bags in dozens of different styles. If you have two bags with the same number, chances are they're different styles which would never happen with real Coaches.

My consignor finally told me they were all knockoffs she bought at a purse party. Thank you for your replies.

I'm glad you finally got the truth out of her. Whether she knows it or not, selling counterfeit merchandise of ANY kind in the US is against federal law - you would have been the one to take the risk of being reported to Ebay. The people who run those purse parties are considered traffickers in counterfeit goods (a felony under federal law and in many local jurisdictions) and purse parties have sometimes (not often enough, unfortunately) been raided by the local police and the sellers and distributors arrrested. Tell your consignor she's lucky she didn't end up with her face as a mug shot on the "legal beat" page of the local newspaper. Tell her to Google the words "police" and "purse party" for some interesting reading.
