The thing that made me question the authenticity of the gray bag was the hardware, the part that is attached to the strap and swivels around. On the willis bags that I have and the pictures that I've seen on the coach site and elsewhere the strap loops through the rounded side and the flat, straight side is where the bolt is. On the gray bag it's the opposite way and they look bigger than usual but maybe I'm being too nitpicky, I don't know.

I see what you mean about the "upside down" swivel bolt hardware. I wonder if Coach changed the hardware on the straps over the years?

The first is the Etsy Willis that you asked about. The bolt looks upside down compared to the second one.

The second is a Willis strap from approximately the same time frame. I definitely like the second one. It just looks better to me.

I just don't know!

I see what you're saying. The clips on the gray bag aren't the standard Coach trigger clip, and the D-ring is a lot bigger than the end of the strap, but only on one side, unless that's because the sizes of the strap ends are different. I'm wondering if the clip or strap was repaired or replaced at some point - if you look at the other pictures, you can see the two clips and even the strap ends are different sizes. It's possible there was a repair made and one piece of the strap was replaced since the end on one looks more tapered than the other, although the rest of the bag doesn't look like it's seen enough use to be needing a new strap.

If it's a fake, it's another one of the "good" ones. The "Y" plant code is unusual, and the "No" font is a litle unusual too. Unfortunately I don't have any bags with "Y" plant codes to check it against.

Comment: Kindly authenticate this bag again pls?

Thanks!

Sorry, that bag is a bad fake. That horrible cheap printed lining is a dead giveaway. Please report the seller to Ebay.

You'll almost NEVER see a C or logo lining inside a bag with C's or logos on the outside. Assume any bag with that combination is a fake.

Got another one on my watch list:

Item: Coach Monogram Satchel Purse-Brown

Don't ever even consider bidding on any bag unless the seller supplies clear large photos of the inside of the bag and especially the creed patch. I'm not familiar with most of the newer bags but the fact that the C pattern isn't correctly centered on the front of the bag is never a good sign when it's an Op Art or a standard Signature C pattern.

More opinions are needed but the zipper pulls and the feet on the base look wrong and the leather looks cheap.

Item: Coach Scooter Bag?
Listing number: NA
Seller: Thrift Store
Link: NA
Comments: This looks like an authentic scooter bag to me but there are 2 things that have me worried and I am sorry that I could not get a good picture of the creed. My bag looks identical to the bag at the link below (NMA!) but the first letter of the creed in my bag appears slightly indented. Also, the serial number on my bag is stamped very lightly and I cannot read it but it begins with the capital “N” and the small, superscript “o” and it says "Made in the United States". I will post some additional pics attached to the message below. Thanks in advance for your help!

Here are a few more pics of my british tan scooter bag. Since I cannot make out the serial number I can't figure out the year of manufacture. Do you know the approximate time period when these bags were available? Thanks!

Item: Coach Willis Bag?
Listing number: NA, style number 9927
Seller: Salvation Army Thrift Store $9
Link: NA
Comments: This appears (to me!) to be an authentic Willis bag from 1999 but I am concerned because there is a big space before the last digit in the first part of the style number. I still need to find a replacement strap and get a new hangtag from Coach. Sorry for my poor photography skills; I will post additional pics in the message below. Thanks in advance for your help!
