You're absolutely correct about the bag being an awful fake.

The seller needs to know that if she's going to shop at estate sales, she's responsible for authenticating her items.

Her feedback is already bad and in this case, her lack of willingness to do the right thing with you has (IMO) earned another negative feedback.

Wonder of wonders! The seller got back to me and agreed to refund my money...AFTER I let her know that selling fakes was against ebay policy and illegal. Looks like she makes a living on ebay (judging by her feedback) and I guess she didn't want any trouble. Her only comment to me was that she didn't think that fake bags had serial numbers. Yeesh. I haven't decided if I want to try to educate her as it seems clear from the other items she sells that she does not sell handbags very often, if ever. I put the bag in the mail to her today. Now I'll wait for my refund. :rolleyes:

Items: Coach Willis and Court bags. I bought these from etsy, they're old and used so they have a lot of wear and I've yet to clean/polish them. Can someone please authenticate them? The court is missing the hang tag.

I also have another willis in black but I'm pretty sure its fake, the back of the turnlock hardware is not visible from the back of the front pocket. Does this mean it's not authentic?

I agree that sellers should never steal copyrighted pictures nor should they use pictures that belong to other sellers. For that reason alone, I don't recommend buying from sfsaleusa.

But in the listing posted, she indicates that she doesn't even have the bag in hand.

I thought sellers had to have their items readily available.

The Willis looks authentic to me. I can't tell if that's a "6" or a "5" after the letter B. So it was either made in 1996 or 1995, depending on that number.

The Court bag looks fine also. The number on the creed means it was made in 2001. I'm not sure if this is still true, but you used to be able to call Coach and get a replacement hangtag.

Your question about the other Willis: "the back of the turnlock hardware is not visible from the back of the front pocket". How is the back of the turn lock attached and what is holding it on to the leather?
I can't quite picture what you mean.

I bought this recently and I am sorry I do not know the name.
The inside does have the "signature" C's and it's not that "shiny gold color"
But I am still not sure. It feels like real leather, and leather I know. However the leather Coach's I am not familiar with. ANY help would be greatly welcomed. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Gosh, I have a headache from looking at her listings.

It's fake. There's NOTHING right about it! (Her other Coach and Dooney bags look okay.)
