The seller of this bag only posted 2 pictures - i just requested more but is anyone able to tell if it is authentic?

Please post the additional pics if you receive them. There should be more pictures of the bag: back, bottom, sides, hardware, and closeups of the creed, logo plaque, and hangtags.

In the future, please use the format in Post #1, as this makes it easier to search for items and sellers. Thanks!

I agree that sellers should never steal copyrighted pictures nor should they use pictures that belong to other sellers. For that reason alone, I don't recommend buying from sfsaleusa.

But in the listing posted, she indicates that she doesn't even have the bag in hand.

I thought sellers had to have their items readily available.
~ Due to high demand we recommend you to pre-order, this purse will be available on the third week of September ~

Product availability

When buyers bid on or purchase an item on eBay, they should feel confident that the item is available and will be delivered in a timely manner.
What to do
You must ensure the items you are offering are in stock for the duration of the listing and are delivered to the buyer, unless the buyer doesn't meet the terms of your listing.
If you run into an inventory problem that's beyond your control, you're still responsible for letting the buyer know when the item will be available or issuing a refund for the full amount immediately.
What not to do
You're not allowed to:

  • List an item that may be out of stock at the time of purchase.
  • List an item that you're simultaneously selling outside of eBay.
  • Offer an item that may not be what's delivered to the buyer.

Underline from me. Below_retails and this seller are doing just this. Should we report? This is just wrong...this bag is NOT like the pic at all.

The Willis looks authentic to me. I can't tell if that's a "6" or a "5" after the letter B. So it was either made in 1996 or 1995, depending on that number.

The Court bag looks fine also. The number on the creed means it was made in 2001. I'm not sure if this is still true, but you used to be able to call Coach and get a replacement hangtag.

Your question about the other Willis: "the back of the turnlock hardware is not visible from the back of the front pocket". How is the back of the turn lock attached and what is holding it on to the leather?
I can't quite picture what you mean.

:smile1:

Thanks for your help!

Actually the turn lock is loose and coming off the bag, the only thing holding in are the two prongs on the side. Here are two pictures to show you what I mean.

Oh! I see what you mean now. The back metal thingy is just missing. If you look at your picture below you can see the part that's missing...the oval metal backing probably just fell off.

Those turnlocks are easy to replace and I've done them myself. I would first post pictures of the rest of the bag to find if it's actually authentic, and if it is, I would call Coach and see if they will send you a replacement turnlock. If they won't, there is a seller on ebay who sells them.

Edited to add: Link to replacement. (I'd try to get it FREE from Coach first).

Ok, I thought that maybe it was missing but then also thought that it was a fake and just made that way. Thanks for the info, if its real I'll call about getting a replacement turnlock and a hang tag for the court.

What I see so far looks OK, but I think we need to see a few additional pictures, when you have time:

1. A picture of the side of the bag that shows the end of the wooden dowel. (Just like you did for the tan bag).

2. A picture with the flap up, that shows the inner zippered pocket AND the zipper pull. (Like you did for the tan bag).

3. A picture similar to the one below that shows the "top handle" shape and stitching.
