It's fake.

There are several problems but there's an obvious detail that is only on fakes.

ETA: I re-read the description and I think she's aware that it's fake. She "received it from someone else" and there's also an authenticity disclaimer.

Compare this fake to this authentic one: http://cgi.ebay.com/COACH-Bleecker-...877?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45f50a9135

ETA AGAIN!! I wonder if the seller reads here. The listing has been ended.

ARRRGH!!

This is why "top rated seller" should be taken with a grain of salt.

Do NOT buy from secretgarden_boutique*09

I added a link to the listing.

I am not sure what the buyer is referring to regarding the hardware but there's nothing wrong with the bag you sold.

The buyer who negged you is also a seller and as a seller, I would hope she'd have communicated with you before leaving feedback. Did she do that?

Please refer the buyer to this thread and recommend that she express her concerns and why she thinks the bag is fake. She is mistaken and her lack of knowledge about the bag has hurt an honest seller and will probably cause other sellers to block her bids.
Thanks! I really do appreciate it. No contact, no email, no call, nothing! I have opened a case with eBay and paypal. Any help from you all would help. Never dealt with this before. Any other sellers out there beware of kwflorida399.
I didn't Realize she was a seller as well. Hum?
She claims that the Coach charms should be metal?

Thanks for backing me up. No there was no contact, no email, no call, nothing! I have opened a case with eBay and paypal. Any help would be appreciated, I have never dealt with this before. Any sellers beware of kwflorida399 leaves negative with no attempt to contact the seller. I didn't realize she was a seller too. She is claiming that the Coach charms that hang off the bag should be metal? I have referred her to the post and hope she reads it.
Thanks Again,

Again, she's wrong. She has probably seen so many fakes with metal hangtags that she expects all Coach bags to have fake metal ones.

You should respond to the feedback that the bag is authentic; confirmed on tPF.

As for your opening a case, I don't think you should have done that (as a seller.) If I were you, I'd close the case.

Has the buyer requested a refund? If so, tell her to return the bag and you'll refund the purchase price. I'd also request that she revise the feedback since it's completely inaccurate.

IMO, if she returns it, you don't owe her refunds for shipping in either direction since the item is accurately described and authentic.

Thanks,
I should have put that I am responding to her opening a case with eBay after she left neg feedback. My wife said the same thing you said. She can return the bag for any reason other than authenticity. And, yes she has asked for a refund.
Thanks,
Tambaytoo

I picked this up 2nd hand for very little money - I don't know if it is authentic The creed looks odd with no serial number- it certainly needs some cleaning up. Thank you for your help

I believe it's the old Coach "Basic Bag" and it is authentic.

It originally had a "glued on" serial number which obviously fell off. Coach used the glued on serial numbers sometime in the 1970's.

Note that it was made in New York City which was Coach's original factory.

Although the listing you're asking about looks okay, do NOT buy from carissa0109.

Another reason for not doing business with this seller: The seller also has another "buyer" who likes her stuff plus sells the same items herself. :amazed:

Yikes, she's from right outside my birth/home-town. (insert mafia voice) You want I should go teach her a lesson? (Sorry, couldn't resist. But I'm from a small enough hometown, that seeing a crook from there gives me the willies. As always, thank goodness for the 'watchers/look-out ladies' here. :flowers:)

These are not on auction anywhere and it's a local trade that I'm looking at for my Coach bags. I know mine are authentic since I bought them directly from the Coach store but don't want to accidentally trade for a knock off. Could someone take a look at these pictures and let me know what you think? I don't know the name of the bags so if you could tell me that also - I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks so much!!

Thank you so much! I didn't realized they glued on the serial numbers then. - Cool! I am off to give it a bath! I love the oldies - I hadn't seen one this old though. Thank you.

Hi there, I'm looking to buy this Coach and just joined this thread trying to find out if this is authentic. Can someone be so kind as to point me in the right direction? :)

Thank you
It could be a Chelsa optic bag but the pictures are too blurry and there aren't enough of them to tell.

Please request clear pictures of the top of the bag with the turnlock showing the stitching and hardware. Also, please request clear and legible pictures of the creed and the interior.

Both appear to be okay but clearer and legible pictures of the creeds (on both) would help.

I'm looking at a bag from a local seller. (I'm still waiting on a clear photo of the creed)
I'm wondering, however, if any of you can tell if this is fake just from the photo. (in order to know if I should proceed with requesting the creed photos, again)
Thanks!
