I'll preface my comments with a caveat. Wallets are VERY tricky because there are "good" fakes in that the pictures are often at angles or not detailed enough to determine authenticity. And without having the wallets in hand to feel, inspect, see paperwork and hardware, etc., it's even more difficult.

#1: I wouldn't buy this wallet from jiexin-2009 . The pictures appear to be "borrowed" from somewhere else, but more important is the source where jiexin-2009 purchased the wallet.

As shown in the feedback, bought the wallet from mibclassics, a seller with several other IDs who are all known to sell hundreds of fake Coach wallets. They are all highly counterfeited styles.

mibclassics is connected to alwaysauthenticzone, corvaircraig ,authenticonlyforsale and probably loveclaireboutique . All sell in quantities and at prices that are unrealistic and impossible to get in those quantities and at those prices.

#2: It might be okay but there aren't enough pictures and those that are posted aren't close enough to see important details. Again, this is a highly faked style and I recommend you wait for other opinions on this seller's wallet.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm looking for a Coach wallet for my mom's birthday, so I don't know much about what to look for authenticity-wise. I think I'll just buy straight from a Coach store.

Of course you'll get an authentic wallet from a Coach store but unless you have an outlet nearby, you'll pay full price.

You can find good deals on authentic Coach wallets on eBay or Bonanzle, but you probably want to buy from a trusted seller.

You're welcome to post listings here for advice or you can search tPF for trusted sellers.

Good luck. I hope you're able to find the authentic wallet you want at the right price.

Although Goodwill is a charitable organization, they still have to obey the law concerning the sale of fakes. As a retailer/seller, they are obligated to confirm authenticity before they put items out on the selling floor.

Even if you didn't spend a lot of money, you should take the bag back and request (or demand) a refund.

.

The Goodwill by me has a sign posted that they can not and do not authenticate any of the purses they sell. To them it is just a purse like any other purse. They also do not refund purse purchases.

They can post that but it doesn't hold water. The law makes the sale of fakes illegal and they are bound by law.

Hello!!! I was wondering if I could get your opinions on this one. I am guessing that more pictures will be needed, please let me know. THANKS!!!!

I don't see any red flags, however more detailed pictures of the bag are needed, such as larger, closer pictures of the logo plaque, creed, front, back, bottom, sides, hardware, and hangtags.

I agree with BB. The first seller jiexin-2009 is using pictures borrowed from a fakes selling site in his listing:

Interestingly, mibclassics, the seller from whom jiexin-2009 bought this wallet, also used pictures from a similar fakes site in his listing:

Item: Maroon Court Bag?
Listing number: NA
Seller: Salvation Army Thrift Store
Link: NA
Comments: Please authenticate this bag which I believe is a Court Bag. I think that it was made in the late 1980s or early 1990s. The serial number has 7 digits total (4 digits plus 3 digits) and all numbers. I didn't get a very good pic of the creed but it says "Made in the United States". Do you know what this color is called? I have been calling it maroon but it's kind of a dull red. Thanks in advance for your help!

Too bad the seller didn't listen to my advice:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/quick-question-about-coach-bags-620271.html#post16421786

Can someone check the LVs? I'm still looking over the Coaches but there's at least one fake with a -9956 serial number.

Make that TWO fake Coaches with a -9956 number - 2 different styles too.

Three and counting...

Plus the "LV" backpack... check out the stitching, especially on the trim around the inside pocket.
