I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that they are both fake.

Authentic. TJ Maxx doesn't sell fakes.

Occasionally, they'll (unknowingly) accept a return from a buyer who might have done a "buy and switch" so if the item might end up on the selling floor, but generally, all TJ items are genuine.

You're correct in thinking that the bag is fake. The creed is enough to prove un-authenticity based on the text (which is for a leather bag-which your bag is not) and the sloppy and uneven stitching. The style number is also incorrect for the bag; 6376 should have suede corners.

The unmatched and misaligned fabric, the incorrect hardware and other details further prove that it's fake.

It's really hard to tell whether the bag is okay because the pictures are so blurry.

If you can get the seller to take some clearer pictures (macro) of the creed, the hardware, straps and center seams, it would help.

We also need clear pictures of the wallet, embossed imprints, stitching, hardware and inside.

Do NOT buy from honda14si. Both current Coach bags are fake, I question the Versace bag too and she's already ripped off quite a few buyers.

It's the "Skinny Tote" probably from the late 1970's - early 1980's since it's made in New York City.

I have included a picture of the original "Skinny Tote" designed by Cashin. You can see the differences, especially in the handles and the stitching. I also *think* the original was lined with the striped fabric.

Yours is an "adaptation" of Cashin's original design - made after she left Coach. I got that information from the Cashin Foundation so I'm sure it's correct.

It's getting close to the end of the auction so there might not be enough time to request more pictures.

If you bid and win, request a photo of the side view of the bag showing the O-rings and turnlock and stitching. Try to get that info before paying but if necessary to pay, fund the payment with a credit card for additional protection.

I don't see any obvious problems but that photo would be helpful.

Also, the seller improperly describes it as "new without tags" in the item specifics but as "like new" in the description, implying that the bag is lightly used. However, NWOT means unused and a bag that was used -- even if only for an hour -- is NOT "new without tags" and shouldn't be described as such.

Your bag is fine. All the details of the bag are correct. This is the Signature Stripe Tote, style 10125 that was made in 2006. This version of the bag has the dogleash clip closure. The ones you're seeing with the zip-top closure are the versions that were later released for the outlets.

The handles on your bag are made of patent leather. That's the way patent leather is supposed to look. Patent is prone to wrinkling. The creed is correct for this style. There is no country of manufacture on the creed, but there is a fabric tag inside that says made in China.

Your bag is the larger size which has more rows of C's. The smaller size has fewer rows.
