Comments: Not the best pics in the world, but the creed is pretty clear. I've never seen anything quite like it. Any thoughts?

I have NO clue if it's authentic...but I can't imagine "faking" that bag.

Plus, it certainly looks simple enough to have been designed by that Krakoff person.

:D

Well, she sent me three pix - not very good but does it shed any light?

Impulse purchase: there was one hour left, so I bid and won as the only bidder. I know you can't authenticate based on one photo, but did Coach make anything like this? I can always ask for more pix before I pay. Thank you!

I can't find any photos of that bag but Coach did make a line of fringed suede bags around 2002 or 2003. You might want to ask for a creed photo if there is one or a pic of the inside of the price tag showing the style and color codes.

any chance this is real? it looks good to my beginner's eye haa. i've seen the patchwork tote but i can't find this one

still learning to catch obviously fake creeds...

edit: with coach can you generally assume it is authentic if the serial number has no weird google results? found the same number here http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260632496672
I'm sorry but your bag is fake, as is the listing you are comparing it to.

In answer to your question, you can NEVER assume a bag is authentic based on a serial number.

Many fakes have legitimate serial numbers. Sometimes the serial number is even correct for the style of bag that the fake is trying to copy. Other times, the serial number is for a different style bag.

The bag in the pictures you've posted looks fine. The creed appears exactly as it should and the wording on the creed is correct.

As shown in the pictures, this bag has a brown "made in China" tag sewn into the seam and it, too, looks fine.

Hi! Thank you so much!
But there are spacings on the serial number. Is it supposed to look like that?
Do you also know the style number of this bag?

Because it seems like other sellers selling the similar bag as mine have a different creed & it's with a zip. Whereas mine doesn't have one.

Hi!

Few months ago I bought a Coach bag from a Ebay. I am unable to view the listing now because it's bought more than 90 days ago. I did not suspect a thing when I receive the coach bag because it seems authentic & have excellent craftsmanship, but then again, there might be grade AAA fakes. I would really appreciate if you kind souls could help me because I don't want to be cheated of my money :(

I do not know the style number or anything about it as it's my first Coach bag. It was lightly used when I bought it.

I think it was fake because there are spacings on the creed inside & there's no made in China or countries printed on the creed! Please refer to the pictures. Also, there's no zip on the bag, which is supposedly to have on the same design I see elsewhere. The design I see else where have bigger Cs ( jus 3 rows of C's above the big white lined )but mine is smaller. & I felt that it's fake because the leather straps have wrinkled for a bit & is slightly shiny :(
I do hope it wasn't fake..

Please authenticate it for me.
Thank you very much!!!

I've tried to take as many pictures & details as possible. If you need anymore pictures, please let me know :)
I'm unable to attach them in this forum because my file size are too big. Please go to the photo album I've created for this coach bag.

The style number is 10125 -- as indicated by the second 1/2 of the serial number.

The creed is exactly as it should be. Depending on the age and style of the bag, creeds can sometimes have wonky spacing. On older bags, it can be as a result of the older stamping tools that were used when they impressed the creeds by hand. On newer bags, the spacing is done intentionally.

Unfortunately, there are many inaccurate authenticating guides on the internet and many of them mention spacing on the creed. Coach is not perfect and spacing is not always perfect.

I see! Thank you so much!
Does all the 2nd half number of the serial number means the style number for that bag?

Now I feel so secure & could start selling this bag away! :) I wanted to sell it, so I have to be confirmed it's authentic first.

Thank you so much dear! You've been such a great help!

I'm not familiar with the newer bags, BUT if you read the wording on the creed I think you have your answer: "COMPLETELY NATURAL GLOVE-TANNED COWHIDE" is not the wording that would be on a "fabric" bag, but on an all leather bag.

That bag's creed should say "THE FINEST MATERIALS TRIMMED WITH GENUINE LEATHER". For that reason alone, it cannot be authentic.

Plus, I don't believe that bag could have been made in 1998 as indicated on that creed.

Wait for the people who know the newer bags to give you other reasons.

i didn't even notice that...i'm wondering about the stitching and the no COACH on the buckels...i hope someone can tell me about those...but thanks for pointing that out, i never knew that only on all leather bags should have that...
