We bought a house and found this bag in the bottom of a closet. Can you tell me if it is authentic, and if so, how old it is and what the name of it is?

It is a black attache/briefcase bag with brass buckles. It does have a stamp/screed and it says it was made in New York City.

Thanks for your help!

This seller is claiming to be a "TPfer" and all of their bags are authentic.
Item: Coach Vintage Handbag

There are quite a few more that look okay but then again I am in now way able to knowthis for sure.

Thanks!

That bag was made in the year 2000 so she did NOT buy it 25 years ago.

It's a "Bonnie's Legacy Zip Satchel" and it looks fine...it's just that the "story" isn't real.

I haven't looked at the others yet.

Is this Coach authentic? I have never seen an inside label like this before. Thank you!

I have a couple of comments. First, I don't see any problems with the bag you've asked about except that it's only 9.5 years old, made in December, 2000. (The "0" in the prefix of the serial number means it was made in 2000.)

Her other Coach items look okay. I can't speak for the Gucci and LV.

But claims by sellers to be "proud members of tPF" should be taken with a grain of salt. Anyone can sign up, open an ID and claim to be a member. In fact, they don't even need to sign up to make the claim. Plus, there's no vetting process that only allows honest sellers to be tPF'ers.
